Here is an intriguing name to keep in mind: Dan Reeves. Yes, the former Cowboys running back, assistant coach and head coach in Denver, New York and Atlanta is genuinely interested in the job, and has expressed that interest to those close to him. OK, he just turned 63, but Reeves has a successful track record working with young quarterbacks, and only ran into problems in his last gig, Atlanta, when Michael Vick missed the first 11 games of the season with a broken leg.
- from Mick Shots on DC.COM

I wouldn't mind seeing Dan Reeves coach the Cowboys at all -- and I don't mean that from a nostalgic POV. Now Mick said last week on "Talkin' Cowboys" that Coach Reeves had an issue with Jerry, but I guess becoming the HC of the Cowboys could change that. Reeves has taken, what, 3 different teams to the playoffs and 2 different to the Super Bowl. I'm sure this is an attractive job since a lot of the foundation work is done.

I'd prefer a coach that's going to be here for 5+ years.

Reeves could come here and bring wade phillips here to be DC like in atlanta.

I think reeves and phillips are pretty close so that would be a huge get.

Howbout, reeves, phillips and jason garret.

That would be a very good job by jerry and I would give him a lot of credit for a group hire like that.

I wouldnt cry if it were Reeves...he isnt a long term answer, but as a fall back, short term solution he wouldnt be bad

the one downside I see with Reeves is his offensive system is pretty complex....not sure how fast Romo would pick it up...but I do think Reeves would win in the short term here

he might be a viable 2-3yr bridge to someone else

I think I heard this mentioned on the Dan Patrick show. Someone had seen and spoken to Reeves at the Senior Bowl practices and said he looked fit and was interested in coaching again.
