- from Mick Shots on DC.COMHere is an intriguing name to keep in mind: Dan Reeves. Yes, the former Cowboys running back, assistant coach and head coach in Denver, New York and Atlanta is genuinely interested in the job, and has expressed that interest to those close to him. OK, he just turned 63, but Reeves has a successful track record working with young quarterbacks, and only ran into problems in his last gig, Atlanta, when Michael Vick missed the first 11 games of the season with a broken leg.
I wouldn't mind seeing Dan Reeves coach the Cowboys at all -- and I don't mean that from a nostalgic POV. Now Mick said last week on "Talkin' Cowboys" that Coach Reeves had an issue with Jerry, but I guess becoming the HC of the Cowboys could change that. Reeves has taken, what, 3 different teams to the playoffs and 2 different to the Super Bowl. I'm sure this is an attractive job since a lot of the foundation work is done.
