Dan the Man 3.0 Mock Draft

Just so I don't have people bite my head off, here is what I have them doing prior to the draft. This is what I expect.

Sign T Eric Winston to 3 year deal.


1st Rd: Jonathan Cooper UNC - With reports of Fluker and Warmack rising, it is becoming more possible that Cooper slides to us

2nd Rd(Trade down):Markus Wheaton WR Oregon State - Can replace Miles.Would provide team the speed receiver they need.

3rd Rd DJ Swearinger S South Carolina - Team apparently likes him very much. Proven playmaker, and also showed he can cover as well. Plus he can HIT

4th Rd(Acquired in Trade) Andre Ellington Clemson RB - Explosive running back who can carry the load IF Murray goes down again

4th Rd Brandon Williams DT Missouri Southern - Can be the 1 technique on this team. Reminds me very much of Josh Brent. Very powerful and strong

5th Rd Stansly Maponga DE TCU - Can backup Ware and Spencer and potentally replace Spencer next season

6th Rd Michael Mauti OLB Penn State - Depth for Bruce Carter, and special teams player

I love this draft except for drafting a WR in the second. I say we just grab Josh Boyce from tcu late.

Not a big fan of drafting a Wr until later and I don't think Williams drops to the 4th rd. Still, this would be a very good draft.

I like it but personally I want at least 3 or 4 big men for both sides of the line coming out of this draft

I really like this draft although I would switch out the positions for 2nd and 4th. Rather go rb earlier than wr if I had to. Personally I don't look for either till late. I feel like the only one who wants Montee ball lol

Fantastic mock. Forget the "you shouldn't draft x position until y round." That's how bad teams draft.

Not a big fan of this draft, but it is probably close to what Dallas will do.

Solid Players however we really need to focus heavy on Line play.
The following Scenario gives us a OG, DT and Center.

(I STILL THINK WE NEED TO SIGN A TACKLE IN FREE AGENCY)

My Dream Mock Draft:

1) Jonathan Cooper OG UNC
2) Kwane Short DT Purdue
3) Bacarri Rambo S Georgia
4) Brian Schwenke C Cal
5) Zac Stacy RB Vanderbilt
6) Marquise Goodwin WR Texas

I would be extremely happy but hoping the Boyz can Draft real close
to this we need a solid 4 players from this Draft

Sign me up if it happens that way. That really puts the new talent in our weak spots without reaching. I love that two OL spots are upgraded and drafting Wheaton puts Dallas in position to release Miles in 2014.

From a pure "needs" perspective, the only thing it is missing is another TE, but you maximized the picks and that is all one can ask for.

Most projections have Brandon Williams as a 2nd to 3rd round pick.
