Rest of Free Agency:

Sign Henry Melton DT
Sign Anthony Spencer DE
Sign Chris Clemons S

Round 1 (Trade down pick up extra 3rd) - Dee Ford DE - Gives us extremely explosive defensive end to rush the passer.

Round 2 - Kyle Fuller - CB - One of my biggest pet cats in this draft. I believe he is the best corner in this draft. Has the length, speed and size to be extremely disruptive. Can be used anywhere on the field. Shut down opposing receivers regularly.

Round 3 - Brandon Thomas G/T
- Can be used as a guard this year, and kicked out to tackle next year after Free leaves.

Round 3 - Martavis Bryant WR - Big, strong physical receiver with really good speed. Nice complement for Dez on the outside. Didn't really get to show his potential at Clemson.

Round 4 - Caraun Reid DT - Smart, athletic defensive tackle. Probably more of a 1 tech. But has the quickness to move to the 3 as well.

Round 5 - Kevin Pierre-Louis OLB - Extremely athletic, fast linebacker. Would be a perfect will in this scheme.

Round 7 - Michael Sam DE -
Hurt his stock severely at combine, but I would take a chance on him. His college tape is extremely impressive, and shows a lot of athleticism. I would use him to rush in the nickel.

Round 7 - Ben Gardner DE -
Not sure he drops this low, but he was a beast at Stanford. Injury concerns can drop him. He could kick inside on passing downs. Can probably even play the 3 tech as well.

Round 7 - Calvin Barnett DT - Quick twitch player with really nice athleticism. Probably more of a 3 tech.

Why do want to sign Clemons? He's a SS. We already have that with Church, who put up better stats. I know they don't tell the whole story, and I haven't seen Clemons play much, but I don't see how he's better than what we have.

I'm not going to pretend to have watched a bunch of Chris Clemons either, but PFF ranked him has the 19th most efficient S and above average in coverage. He's also a guy that has 4.4 speed. We had to play Church as FS last year because we had nothing else. I think he Clemons would be a definite upgrade.

As far as the mock....its good, not the greatest. Where does Fuller play? 4th CB until Carr is cut? Everyone is a pretty good pick and value though

I asked because NFL.com lists him as a SS, which is where Church needs to play. Can Clemons play FS?

He's not going to be a huge playmaker type, but yeah I think he can definitely play FS for us. PFF loved him going into this season and praised his coverage https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/05/29/secret-superstar-chris-clemons/. He also played the deep zone safety in college and was known as a good cover guy for a safety coming into the league http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/chris-clemons?id=71253. He's a solid player that should do his job and stay in position. Something we lack. If the price is right he would be a good signing.

Why? It's one simple and plausible trade?

Its nearly impossible to accurately predict a draft where 32 teams pick a pool of hundreds of players. Much less factoring in trades. That is why I do not do mock drafts. No one knows and it never goes like all the mock draft experts predict it to go.

Yeah I hate mocks too. Especially when they are 2-4 more the before the draft. Only time I look at mock drafts are the week before the draft. Then these so called experts may have some inside info.

Hell last year Mcshay had the bills taking Nassib in the 1st last year the day before the draft.

I don't understand why you are in a mock draft thread then?

Will you people stop adding trade downs in your draft predictions.

Why? If it is a reasonable trade down and not multiple trade downs. It is not a rare thing for Jones to trade.

And if you don't like mock drafts maybe you should avoid mock draft threads in the mock draft section of the forum.
