From TMZ:

White tells us Lesnar -- the UFC heavyweight champ -- is "very, very sick" with some sort of intestinal disorder, although listening to White, it sounds a lot more serious than that. White says the condition will require "major surgery."

White is going to visit Lesnar in the hospital and is trying to get him transferred to the Mayo Clinic, one of the most renowned medical facilities in the world.

...

White acknowledges the current condition is not mono but he will not be specific. White says the condition is not HIV or cancer.

And, White tells TMZ, "There's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again."

This contradicts an earlier report from MMA Weekly who is talking to Lesnar's camp:

MMAWeekly.com spoke to a source in Lesnar's camp on Saturday night that denied such characterizations, but indicated that there are some new issues to deal with.

"Nothing life threatening like the reports, just some complications with his illness and he had to be hospitalized for antibiotics."

Our sincere wishes for a speedy recovery go to Brock Lesnar and his family.

I hope he gets back within a year.

I love what he has brought to the sport. Very entertaining guy.

I bet the UFC is soooo glad Fedor didn't sign that contract now. Without Brock its meaningless.

 If he signed the UFC HW division would still have a draw. with Brock,Nog and Carwin hurt the hw division has no draw.

The ultimate irony here is that Kimbo will probably be the HW divisions biggest draw now and that after all the crap Dana talked him

Yeah but he was going to get the big contract because of the payback the ufc would get in return for a Brock vs Fedor fight.

There is no way they would offer that guy that type of money again minus Brock.

I'd bet it's Crohn's disease. Have a couple relatives with it and it's a *****. Pretty much have to go in and pull out a part of your intestines.

Report: UFC champ Brock Lesnar suffering bacterial infection of intestines
by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Nov 16, 2009 at 10:50 pm ET

The mystery illness plaguing UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar now has a name.

UFC president Dana White today told the Associated Press that Lesnar is currently suffering from a bacterial infection in his intestinal track in addition to the mononucleosis that has recently plagued him

White shared with a small group of reporters at this past Saturday's post-UFC 105 press conference that Lesnar would be out indefinitely due to the issues.

"I'm actually probably going to fly to go see him, and we're going to probably have to do some stuff to take care of this guy," White said on Saturday. "He is not well, and he's not getting any better."

Despite the new diagnosis, White told the Associated Press he was still encouraging Lesnar to seek further treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

Lesnar had been expected to meet challenger Shane Carwin at Saturday's UFC 106 event, but the illness forced the UFC to reschedule the contest for Jan. 2. That date has also since been scrapped.

On Saturday, White refused to speculate on whether the condition could potentially be career-ending. Today's report also did little to clear the air.

"It depends on how serious this is," White said.

UFC president Dana White was unavailable for comment when contacted by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

I wonder what kind of celebratory spree Lesnar went on after his win that landed him two serious infections in a few months time.
