Jeez I think a B+ is generous.

Depends on What Bruce Carter does. If he plays to talent level, the B+ grade is legit. If he doesn't, you have to downgrade it a little bit.

Lets not act like two of these guys didn't make it to the Pro Bowl. And Harris was probably in the running as a special teamer.

If I remember correctly, he hurt himself working out with Sam Bradford in the offseason before his rookie year. Are you saying he hasn't had injury problems?

I'm saying he was very good third round pick.

The grading is on a curve relative to how other teams drafted that year. Brugler rated the Cowboys draft as the 6th best draft that year. Those of you that think the Cowboys draft was average should be able to identify about 16 other teams that had a better draft.

I don't really agree with that line of thought. It is the same thought that says we weren't a bad team because we finished 8-8.

Making the pro bowl doesn't isnt as impressive as it once was. Murray is injury prone, Harris a special teamer, Smith might be the only one on the team for a second contract. B+ is generous.

I came this close to putting this disclaimer in my post. I knew (he's that guy) would come in and make this comment. Surprised it took this long..

Murray has been a good player know matter how you look at it. PFR season AV, PFF top 100, NFL Network Top 100, Football Outsider advanced stat numbers(Murray was the best back in the league by their numbers, until the last game of the season) and plain old fashion statistics !

Meh, the 2011 draft is revisionist history . . . nothing more nor less -- sorry to say it just doesn't turn me on that much.

so i guess you put more stock in the day after draft grades than giving it a couple years to, you know, actually watch the guys play on sunday?

Yeah, Murrays good, but injury prone and not such a game changer he's lock for a second contract.

If you could make a case for Carter turning it around I could see a B+, but right now its a good not great draft. What would you give 2010?

Dude, a "good not great draft" IS a B+ draft. 2010 was an A- draft. It's weird how fans suddenly have a bizzarely skewed expectation regarding what constitutes a good draft.

Contest the grade all you want, but he RANKED our draft again others. That provides far more validity than a bunch of fans arguing over whether Murray will be resigned.

Are we 100% sure Murray won't be resigned? Even still, Murray has had two seasons of over 5 yards per carry, I think we can call that a very good pick, especially considering he was drafted in the 3rd round.

This year will tell, I think, but even so he won't break the bank... Those days are gone. I hope JJ realizes it but I'm real sure McClay does, if he has any input.

Good is not B+, that is close to the best.

I will contest the grade all I want, you CAPITALIZING things won't stop that. His RANKING is sill only his OPINION. Do you understand this?

Yes, but until you do your own rankings, his opinion >>>> yours.
