I must be missing something on Eric Ebron. I keep seeing him rated top 10 and I wasn't impressed with him watching the combine. Then again, I haven't watched his film either.

Manziel at 33? That is just stupid. He will be drafted in the top 5, and maybe isnt a top 5 player in the draft. But he is a top 15-20 for sure.

Marquise Lee at 34? Kelvin Benjamin at 48? These guys are top 20-25 talents.

Manziel is going top 5. This draft seems pretty deep within the Cowboys needs. If they could trade down later in the first to early second, then they can play their board and acquire additional picks for other opportunities. I do not see a huge drop off from mid first to late third talent wise.

I like the idea of trading down myself.

Re: depth of draft I would say it depends on the position and what you're looking for talent wise. If you want a tall WR who is fast and has good hands, that is going to take a high pick. If you are ok with a shorter WR then I would agree. DTs with good talent in the third - you're going to have to take a chance on Easley with two ACLs in two years and knee issues that came with that. The DEs drop off in size and speed after a few as well. I agree it's a deep draft, but I think it's being overblown from what I've seen.

I see a couple of guys that I like have moved up about a full round or more compared to some previous rankings. OG/OT Billy Turner and DE Scott Crichton.

Always good to have a different perspective.

Most draft ppl just regurgitate what everyone else says.

Thats true. But i'm saying with my own eyes, Manziel is a top 20 player in this draft talent wise.

Same with Benjamin, that guy is a beast. I'd rate these guys much higher.

double-edged sword

one side: Manziel drops, JJ salivates so much it fills his scotch glass, he takes Manziel with the #16 pick
other side: Manziel drops, the team sees the wisdom in putting the spot up for bid so someone can move up to take Manziel

I will take the other side, although I would expect him to go in the top 10 (minimally)

What did Bridgewater do at the combine to solidify his spot as the first overall prospect?

Some disagree that Manziel's best traits will translate to the pro game, and Benjamin is a bad route runner with inconsistent hands. Not saying either aren't good players, but there are legitimate reasons for concern, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I find it interesting that Pryor, Mosely, Donald and Martin... 4 guys we talk about regularly around here... are #13-16 on his board. Looks like we're in the right ballpark fellas.
