Cheap is not a good character trait.

Absolutely they should.

But Danny is still going to have a hard time making any NFL roster.

I would as well. Just because they are our divisional rivals and anything we can do to hurt them I am all for it.

You didn't see what we saw, man.

Danny "Man with the Hands" Amendola is gonna make the cut.

Dick Vermeil sez: "why don't you hang onto that playbook, Danny?"

Evidently not, What I see is he is a 5'11" 179 lbs 4.65 40 WR who played in a pass happy offense at Texas Tech. He is not Wes Welker or the 2nd coming of. He is a hard working kid who is trying to beat the odds. I wish him the best

So one could say that you are a Danny-doubter?

i'd much rather have a bunch of guys who work hard and wanna do better than the most talented team with the laziest guys...

If some of our guys worked as hard that would be great but the fact is Amendola is a long shot to make it in the NFL it would be a great story if he did but in all honesty there are Danny Amendola's every year who enter the NFL but they lack of overall skills and physical talent will prevent them from ever making it in the NFL. Not trying to sound mean just being honest.

One more putdown like this and I'm gonna start thinking you're not interested.

I like him and I like Cinderella stories so I hope he makes it but odds are not great for him. I guess you could say yes I'm a doubter but one who wishes kids like Amendola the best.

I like the kid but I'm not going to lose any sleep over him. He had some good practice other than that the guy did not do jack when given the chance in pre-season.

You call that a chance? He had the backups throwing it to him. I doubt they could hit water if they were standing in a freaking boat.

Yes they do and a new crop of Amendola are in every draft, guys with a lot of heart but not as much talent and some will even make it as far as being role players maybe a bit more but teams are not going to bend over backwards to keep long shot players. I hope he stays in Dallas but that is his choice, him staying or leaving is not going to make or break the Cowboys

That is all guys like Austin and Hurd had throwing to them. If you think Amendola is some great stud WR be my guest but he is a small and slow WR who even on special teams did not look all that special. Guys like him will not get a lot of chances they have to make the most of the few chances they get pretty much the way it has always been in the league.

Eagles 28
Cowboys 27

Cowboys led whole way until with 17 seconds left, Donovan McNabb hits Danny Amendola on a slant for 21 yards, who then runs through 3 missed tackles to the endzone as time runs out. Amendola says after his 10 catch 115 yard day and winning score, " This one is for Jerry!"

;)

Amendola was intriguing because he was a type of player we didn't have. He is a pretty quick player and has good hands. He just can't play STs because of his size. That's ok for a DeSean Jackson. Will it be for him? Reid probably sees something he likes and that type of WR is going to do better in Reid's system. JMO.
