Wanted eddie jackson, John Johnston, Marcus Williams in the past but this year ill take Darnell Savage Jr. Safety from Maryland.

Here is a quick review of him via the draft network- i think they are some of the most credible draft analysts in the media.

    https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/12/23/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-darnell-savage-jr/

He is what we need- he won’t be amazing in deep coverage but with us playing man and more cover 3- he’d be terrific with his quickness and ability to jump routes in the flats or hook curls. He has the ability to guard tight ends and slot wrs in man coverage. This man also lays the damn wood and i think would be the best run support safety on the team. He makes some plays that just pop out at you. I think he could be had in the 3-4th round ontop of it. Sign me up all day. I think hes very versatile with the ability to play anywhere on the field zone wise and make plays where ever hes lined up at. If you aren’t sold go check this guys tape. Bottom line he could come into this defense and create turnovers (something we need dearly) while being the bet run support safety on the team.

My type of Safety...fast n violent. Can DAL just draft Savage Jr and Adderly? I haven't watched much tape, but I like these two so far.

Savage Jr. is a good player. Would be a SS in DAL, and I like is the team has no one like him on the roster...a missle coming from the secondary.

Savage was the only one who could cover Penny Hart in Senior Bowl practices.

The draft rarely has many good safeties, hope he makes it to us in the 3rd.

He is not big, especially as a Strong Safety. He is about 20 pounds smaller than Heath.

Just curious - why haven’t the two threads on Savage been merged?

With earl getting signed today, our heath replacement could still be this man. Here is another video link with a little bit of breakdown.
