To me it's a non-issue. If he can't make it through the first couple weeks of camp, there's no doubt in my mind that he'll be a goner and replaced by another back.

Of what caliber? So we lose the NFL's leading rusher and backfill with a street free agent during August?

That would qualify as an 'issue' for me.

Lol mini camp didn't even start yet and the hate is full on. How come when it always happened to Murray it was fine but w McFadden it's s different story already. Let's just wait this out. Damn.

It wasn't fine when it happened to Murray. Injury concerns are one reason fans didn't think he was worth re-signing, even though he started and played in 14 games in 2013 and 16 last year ... so his injury troubles have shown a declining trend.

Concerns over injuries that have plagued McFadden throughout his career are justified by his injury history.

What I don't understand is the hatred for Murray.

The last two years he posted 2966 yards from scrimmage.

You'd have to go back and count every yard he posted until half way through 2010 for McFadden to accomplish that.

I agree with you on the hatred. It seems that people want to rip apart Murray to justify the fact that we didn't re-sign him, or that he's with a rival or that we didn't go after a legitimate replacement.

Is this what we're reduced to as fans?

You are right, Murray did nothing but play hard for the Cowboys and was a positive influence in the locker room for the Cowboys. Dallas made a business decision and so did Murray. I hold no grudge against him or the Cowboys. it is the nature of the business in today's NFL.

BUT HEY ANYONE can run behind this line right!!!!!!!!! What a joke. This team possessed the building blocks to make a nice run while ROMO is still going. I dont even know why i signed on,i am aggravated as is today and now this.

Wish they would stop the dumpster diving looking for a back! No reason they can't bring in Chris Johnson for a look.......

Injuries could definitely make that the case, as well as with Williams.

I had kind of counted out Dunbar because I felt with this RB group we needed as many starting-type backs as we could get, but I think the odds are against both McFadden and Williams entering the season healthy, so I think Dunbar's job might be more secure than I thought.

Johnson is kind of freshly in the dumpster but I'd still love for them to bring him in for a look, if he still has some of the explosion he will be good behind the hole opening line

The pre-season RB situation may just be too stressful for you.

Maybe sitting on a beach until the end of August would lessen your internal angst and that sense of impending doom.

I've heard the "Remain calm, all is well" line plenty of times before.

The fact is that these injured running backs have a history. Of being both disappointing and injury-prone. And these recent reports do nothing but reinforce that.

His Singning bonus was not much more than UDFA's. If we had paid him a starter contract would be one thing, but we didn't which shows what they think of him really IMO.
