This guy is my 5th or 6th round pet cat

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XJtozzcJTNs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

He had 14.5 sacks as a junior and 11.5 as a senior division 2 competition but he dominated.

STRENGTHS: Good first step and natural quickness off the snap...plays with springs in his legs, showing good vertical and lateral movements...active hands to defeat blocks with good eye use and awareness to quickly locate the ballcarrier...plays assignment sound football with developed instincts, sniffing out plays and showing range away from the LOS...motivated and competitive with strong character and locker room presence...elite career production with 56.0 TFL and 39.5 sacks.

WEAKNESSES: Not a special athlete and lacks elite explosiveness or COD skills...only average chase speed and skills...room to refine his pass rush moves and hand technique to defeat and shed blocks...allows his pads to rise off the snap and needs to rush with more consistent leverage...not the most flexible and plays a bit tight when moving laterally...lack of competition is a concern with all of his experience and production came against Division-II level talent...better suited at DE or OLB?

SUMMARY: A four-year starter (50 career starts) with outstanding production, leaving college with the school-records for TFL (56.0) and sacks (39.5)...instinctive with the recognition skills and natural feel to anticipate the action and be productive at any level...good edge quickness, but not a quick-twitch edge rusher with only average speed and burst...active hands to beat blocks, but needs to improve his technique...level of competition is an obvious question mark, but shows NFL skills.

Agree. Good player to take in the late rounds.

Bass would be a nice pickup in the 5th or 6th.

Also, if we are able to grab a few 7th round picks, perhaps we can go after DL Chris Jones, who was a sack machine at Bowling Green, and also, LB Ja'Gared Davis, who seems to always be around the football, finds a way to take it away, and even get it into the end zone.

In fact, to be quite honest, I have about 8 players I would love to draft in rounds 6 and 7.

DE David Bass - small school stud
DT Chris Jones - sack machine
OLB Ja'Gared Davis - not the fastest guy around, but he simply makes plays
CB Vernon Kearney - small school stud
SS Cooper Taylor - size and speed. he could be a late round steal.
FS Ray Polk - Colorado sucked, that cannot be denied. However, Polk was a diamond amongt a heaping pile of buffalo chips
RB Knile Davis - between injuries and complete chaos within the program, it isn't hard to see that he struggled. He would be a nice option when Murray needs to be spelled.
TE Joseph Fauria - underachieved in college, but the skills and athletic ability is there, plus you can't coach size.

FYI - For anybody that does not already know, Biggems is the expert on late round, unknown, and UDFA type players. During the college season, he was pointing out players that NFLDS had ranked as UDFAs as underrated. Now some of those players are ranked as 2nd or 3rd round draft picks. One off the top of my head is Brandon Williams. Bigg was on to him way before the media draft analysts.

I recommend getting his opinion on any of those types.

Bass is a big time late rd pet of mine.

Really think he has all the makings of a quality rotational player as he is coached up. Maranelli would LOVE this kid.
