That would be awesome if Eli got hurt and then have David Carr filling in for him :lmao2:

David Carr-QB-Giants

Giants agreed to terms with QB David Carr on a one-year contract.
Carr has a strong arm and athleticism, so he should look good in training camp practices with a red non-contact jersey on. He's probably the favorite to back up Eli Manning as it stands. The Giants should pray that Eli remains his durable self in 2008, however. If Carr sees the field, they'll be in deep trouble.

What does this mean for the Dough Boy? If the Giants decide not to keep him, I hope he can find work elsewhere. he is one of my favorite players to poke fun at. :laugh2:

I hear they're making another Ghostbusters movie.

Lorenzen is being cast as the returning Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.

I always smiled when I read the reports of how bad the Texans OL was when he was the QB, as if all the sacks were on the OL. He simply can't read defenses and get rid of the ball.

Or he could always find work as the Michellan Man for their commercials.

Oh, my.

All the reports last year were that Carr was pretty disappointed when Delhomme got hurt... All he really wanted was to hold a clipboard and get paid.

The guy doesn't like pressure... Can you imagine if he has to actually play in New York?

Maybe thats why he went there, Eli seems like Peyton in terms of injuries. Never seems to get the ones that keep him out of games.

Given the beating he took in Houston can you blame him? I do think Carr has become shell shocked and tends to look for the rush instead of his targets down field. I'm not sure if he will ever break out of that but not suprised he is getting this oppertunity with another club.

Lorenzon has to feel good now that there are rumors out there being reported by SI's Don Banks that Jamarcus Russell has ballooned up to 300 lbs.

If all Jared Lorenzen has to beat is David Carr then his job is safe and the reporter is ******** (no offense Texas Tech "grads").

The Texas O line was indeed THAT bad. I watched some of their games the first 2 seasons and he was getting hit before he could even set up some times. I do not disagree about him holding onto the ball- but not even a quarter of those sacks could in any way be put at his door.

He's Kerry Collins all over again. Remember when Collins got his jaw busted. It took him years to recover from that, if he ever really did. He still sucks. A decent backup if you need one, but not a starter anymore.

True, however Collins has seen some success at QB that Carr has not even as a backup in Carolina Carr still seem to focus on the on coming rushers instead of targets down the field. I feel for Carr I think he has the physical talents but I think being thrown into the fire on a bad team when he was not ready for it hurt him. I know some will say Aikman was put into the same situation but the differance is Dallas was able to quickly put talent around Troy while the Texans still are having problems adding offensive talent.

His time in Houston probably ruined him for good. That deer in the headlights look is probably permanent now.

Carr sucks.

But he was LOVED by Texans fans and the local media until the day he was cut. THEN they turned on him like he was the lowest of criminals.

Geez, I loath "Texans Fan." You have no idea unless you live in Houston of what I speak of. ;)

Big reason Carr sucked is because the Texans suck. He was thrown in their from day 1 and even now the Oline for the Texans is still a major issue. Other than Andra Johnson the Texans have little on their offense. When you take the beating Carr took it is not that hard to see Houston's problems went beyond Carr.
