Quite sure he can crumple up his bag of Ruffles.put the x box in the console of his entertainment center and get off the couch and still be more productive than Crawford.

but you're right about week 8 ...he and this D- line might look really dominant.
Say what you want about his contract, Crawford put as much pressure on Palmer as Collins did last night, and he did it from all over the field. Actually watch the film.
I like Irving too, but he is no where near as consistent as Crawford.

These guys get payed much more than most of us to play this game. There is absolutely no excuse to come back not in playing shape. Rust? ...OK not in shape..please.

Okay if you wanna get cute with words how about his timing on the snap? Thats a football instinct in game time situations that he hasnt gotten..

Save me the practice reps which during the week is against air/light two hand touch

So if these guys get paid so well why do they have a traingcamp? OTAs etc to get them ready? By your reasoning they should just show up for week one and be ready to hit the ground running cause "these guys get payed too much"

By the time all those guys come back, three more guys will have gone down.

Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine.

I am excited about the d.

/giggle

On a serious note, this defense has studs that are very young and in place, our defense rebuilding phase is ahead of schedule and will only get better!!! A new stud LB for Sean Lee to train along with Jaylon hopefully getting back to his college days... just excited! Hopefully we can see our young safety's soon though, Heath is a good back up but we need better safety play.
P.s. I'm a Byron jones fan also, but don't think they are playing him in the best spot (I don't know what's best for him, but he was a beast in the slot and on TEs, not so much deep balls)

The more pressure we can apply, the better. I hope he can pick up where he left off last season. The question is how long will it take him to get up to speed.

I would throw Irving in at RDE and just see what happens. Tank is next level at LDE so I don't mess with that. But I get sense Dallas will use Irving more at DT. I just don't see him as effective at DT. I am also curious of what 4 game ban does with Irving contract. He won't post great numbers in shortened season and next ban is longer. Dallas might get discount with him.

I've always seen #95's best noticeable work at LDE, but with his size and arm length the DT position is where many of our defensive strategic guru's on the forum feel is his better placement clogging up the center line of sight of opposing Q.B.'s and batting down/deflecting passeso_O

He'll be fine, they'll work him in with about 20 snaps. That's about what he had last year when he tore them up. Unless he's been hanging around Zeke, drinking beer and getting fat. Lol

True...and talking about the defensive line rotation that is now developing, a volcano comes to mind...

Come on down .....just in time to play against the Packers where he dominated in helping us beat them at their home last year..David being held on that damn play in last year's playoff game being a non call on that completion to Cook has to still sting a bit too.

Can't wait to see him in this defensive front the way Collins and Demarcus are playing.
I think the Packers just put a tackle on OR to.

Fresh legs, he will tear it up against the Pack! Then has the bye week to practice with the team for 2 more weeks. Je probably won't match the 16,000 sacks production of Lawrence, but will end up with double digits sacks this year...and 7 pass deflections, because I like the number 7.
