Best G/T's still available in free agency....

Offensive Tackles

Leonard Davis - Arizona
Marc Columbo - Dallas
Jordan Black - Kansas City
Chad Slaughter - Oakland
Mike Gandy - Buffalo
Anthony Clement - New York Jets

I think Davis switching to RT in Dallas would be alright, but Columbo had a good year there. In fact, Davis at RG and Colombo at RT might still be a possiblilty, but I prefer Davis at the tackle position more. Unfortunately, I don't think the Cowboys want Columbo back at this point. Fabini is a good backup tackle and a luxury to have IMO.

Offensive Guards

Floyd Womack - Seattle
Ruben Brown - Chicago
Rick DeMulling - Detroit
Sean Mahan - Tampa Bay
Cooper Carlisle - Denver
Cosey Coleman - Cleveland
Chris Gray - Seattle
Montrae Holland - New Orleans

I think either Coleman or Holland would fit best at RG for us. Both are under 30 years old, healthy and have good experience on playoff teams. I'd rather sign one of them, than spend a high draft pick on Blalock, Ramirez or Sears. Drafting and developing guards like Cameron Stephenson/Rutgers, Nathan Bennett/Clemson or Kyle Young/Fresno State on day two would be better IMO.

In short, I'd like to see either of these lineups...

LT Flozell Adams 6-7 343
LG Kyle Kosier 6-5 309
C Andre Gurode 6-4 314
RG Cosey Coleman 6-4 322
RT Leonard Davis 6-6 366

LT Flozell Adams 6-7 343
LG Kyle Kosier 6-5 309
C Andre Gurode 6-4 314
RG Leonard Davis 6-6 366
RT Marc Colombo 6-8 325

Backups

T Jason Fabini
T Pat McQuistan
G Cory Proctor
G Nathan Bennett/Cameron Stephenson
G/C Kyle Young

I'd like to see this
LT Flozell
LG Kosier
C Gurode
RG Manny Ramirez
RT Colombo

Draft a young guy maybe who is capable of playing LT in the future and we're set.

Davis has not shown the quickness necessary to play tackle as well as Columbo has.

How about T Stephon Heyer out of Maryland?

He's 6063, 334lbs, had the longest arms at the combine and still benched 30 times. He's projected to go around the 6th-7th round. Let him develop slowly and when Flo's contract is up....he can just slide right in there. :)

We've already got McQuistan on the team as the possible backup/successor to Adams but I'd have no problem with Heyer as a 2nd day pick cause he and McQuistan could challenge each other (even tho McQuistan already has a head start) but Heyer could also be developed as legit backup in case of injuries.

BTW: I also don't want Davis as our starting OT at either LT/RT; he simply doesn't play well in space although he has the size. As an emergency backup OT is one thing, but not our starter. I also don't think the statement that the Cowboys don't want Colombo back isn't correct. Just yesterday I read (assume it was current statement) I read they far apart so maybe one of them (Jones or Colombo) just need a reality check. I'm hoping Colombo becomes interested in taking Tony Pasho numbers and that Jerry Jones also finds that appealing. After all, there hasn't been a big push YET from other teams for Colombo but that could change in another week. I almost wish the Skins do sign Davis so we don't have to worry about Jones doing something stupid on Davis.

I am hoping that Columbo will still sign with us- JJ is going to have to face the fact that prices are high right now- and we NEED to at least sign Columbo.
