You don't go 5-1 and beat the Super Bowl champs at their place without the starting Safeties playing reasonably well.

I always thought the Wilcox thing was way overblown.

1 or 2 members said something about his play, and like monkey's, the rest of the forum or a majority of the forum just ran with it.

Don't get me wrong, he hasn't been great all season, but he has played really decent, and is better than what we have seen in years.

There is a reason we don't give up a bunch of long bombs and big pass plays.

I hope Wilcox continues to learn and develop, hate to use pick on a safety. Cowboys used a 3rd rd to get him and good to see him making the improvements, just keep it going JJ.

No real complaints so far with them.... They haven't shined for a pro bowl but they aren't getting roasted weekly either

The story with Wilcox is easy to explain. If a lie gets spread around enough people will start to believe it's true.

great point. many have no patients and think every player should be a star right away. but thats not reality. he has very little experience at the position and has played well considering. he will only get beter and i think he can be a very good player down the road. he has nice skills, he just needs to learn and he is showing that he is learning

His play has really improved in sniffing out screens and other plays. The only time I saw him making a mistake was on that big run by Lynch. But every game he seems to be getting better and better.

Wilcox is getting better, but we still need a ballhawk free safety back there. We still have basically 2 strong safeties on the back end.

They are playing well, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Actually, it was very much the case that he was an inexperienced player who was running around chasing cars more than a little bit. And now the last two weeks he's made some really, really great plays in space at or around the line of scrimmage. It's been really nice to see, and it's part of what you'd hope, and then expect, to see in a position convert who's learning the ropes in the NFL. But there's no doubt he's playing better now than he's played in games prior.

I always felt like Barry Church would develop into a nice solid player and he eventually did. I think Wilcox is more talented then Church and he could develop into a above average player but it won't be this year and maybe not even next year but he's got some ability.

We are 5-1, and defense is making some plays, as well as Wilcox....so I'm not complaining a bit. I never have about Wilcox anyway, just knew he needs some experience. Learning on the fly, and I think he's doing a very good job.

Hard to know that Wilcox isn't that guy since nobody even bothers throwing deep against Dallas.
