Something is wrong when I can't get excited about a WR's college highlight clip. And nothing he's done in 2 yrs here has really changed that feeling. Nothing short of a miracle will keep Street on the roster in 2016.

Butler wins that 4th spot in a landslide.

Yeah, Street has really underwhelmed me. But I think his spot is there for the taking, as long as Butler shows up.

I feel bad for Moore. He was due to get a ton of snaps in preseason games. Shows how quickly things can change with a freak injury in practice.

So now we're down to Showers and Dak backing up Tony... what's Wheeden doing?

So now they're forced to do something about the QB position. Let's see how they mess it up.

I'm not even sure why everyone assumes it's a Williams/Butler competition. I think Butler is really competing to replace Street.

Williams is in a contract year. If he can be replaced by a cheaper player that is equal or better than it is a win for the team. Street and Butler are similar animals right now, neither is in line for a big deal. Although Street has already made more noise in one day than he has his entire time here.

They may decide to stay the course and just wait for him to heal in I'm assuming 6-8 weeks.

It just sucks for him, that's a lot of crucial snaps and playing time to miss. Even if he is familiar with the offense.

Realistically though, a broken leg is probably better than a high ankle sprain or something.

I just don't see Butler being better than Williams. I think Williams is under-rated as our number 2 WR and he's clearly better than Butler.

Broken ankle....best case scenario would be back around start of season.

Yeah, I tend to agree, but just have a hard time throwing number two money at Williams, who is a decent #2 but won't ever be a number one but is gonna get paid like it.

I have fractured my ankles at least 5 times between the two. Never had to be in a cast more than 4 weeks for any of them, but wouldn't be able to play football for at least a couple weeks after that and it takes a long time before you are 100%. Less of an issue for a QB but still puts us in a precarious position. There are some options out there, none great. I think we will see what the young guys look like for a week or two, see what the prognosis is on Moore but we almost have to add a camp arm at this point with Romo doing his 2 on and 2 off.

Keep in mind these glowing reports on the offensive side of the ball is that they are practicing against the Dallas Cowboy defense .
That's always the problem .. Is the offense good because they are playing against our defense? When the defense has a good day was it because the offense was off their game? hard to get excited about camp reports any more because every year it seems like whichever side they say is doing well, struggles when the season starts.

Will be interesting to see whether they elevate Showers and stay the course with developing Prescott. Broaddus and several others say that Showers has been the best QB not named Romo.

In regard to Romo, it seems like he is airing the ball out a lot more and with ease. Arm looks live.
