Some folks at the ranch say Brice doesn't love the game, not mentally strong enough to be effective on a consistant basis. I hope he proves them wrong.

Can you quote or link who stated that?

Eitherway his quotes does sound "whiny" and I read "soft" in his quotes in this interview and I can see why someone can say that. Just wondering is this an opinion from an outsider or stated from someone within the organization.

He has flashed more in his limited time here then Street has shown in his two years.

Broaddus on one of the Cowboys Break shows from a couple weeks ago said that he was one of those guys easily distracted by (the outside stuff) what comes with being a professional football player.

I think of the receivers he had the most 20+ yd plays and played about half the time. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with Romo and Dez in the game.

Easily in my top 3 or 4 guys I'm keeping a very close eye on this summer. His contributions this year will directly affect what we do in next years draft at WR IMO.

He's my sleeper pick in the 13th round of my fantasy draft lol

I don't think either Williams or butler is worth a long term contract. i think both are just as risen star said that both are depth receivers for us. we do not have a true number 2 receiver in the group. i think that beasley is more of our number two receiver. i bet the running backs get more catches then both Williams and butler.

Beasley is a slot WR at best, who I think will have his best year this year if Romo stays healthy. Lucky Whitehead has gained some weight this year, as the season went on last year he got more comfortable, I believe we will see a lot of him also, our offense is going to be off the hook this year if Romo stays healthy.

i also hope that whitehead can improve his route running so he can be included in the offense. this year instead of just being a returner or a wr reverse player i hope maybe he can be included in some of the 5 widereceiver plays

Yea I'll be waiting.....and waiting.....and waitng.................

Barring injury, Butler will make this team.

No. His game is the slot, not going deep.

I heard it on one of the webshows on the mothership but I don't remember which one said it. I'm pretty sure it was Mickey or Broaddus.

If Butler can develop into a caliber of player Miles Austin was, that would be fabulous for this WR corps. I am not worried if he can crack the starting lineup. I want to see this guy deliver in key moments of this coming season.

Complaining about the heat when you play football as your job....

He honestly dosent have a heart for this

Plenty of athletes talk about how climate and change in sea level can directly effect how they feel during practice and play. I don't think there's much to take from that, it's different and it takes some getting used to. I see this as the second year we never got with Laurent Robinson after he signed with the Jags. We'll find out if Butler improves or fades off into obscurity.

It's a shock to the system to come from 80 degree weather in Oakland with a cool breeze coming off the ocean to 100 degree weather in Texas.

Commenting about the weather makes a player soft? Really? Plenty of players complain about the weather. Both cold and hot weather. I remember many Cowboys complaining about how cold it was playing in Chicago and GB few years back. Does that make them all soft and don't have heart to play football?

Butler is essentially our 5th round WR pick this year.

Watching the Rangers during a day game in July and August can suck reeeeallllly bad. A lot of pitchers don't like the Texas weather. Luckily, the new ball park will be a dome ( I guess they finally figured it out lol ). So I guess Texas weather does shock some players.

Butler's developing role is the one of the things I'm most intrigued about going into TC. As someone mentioned earlier, Romo made Laurent Robinson a very rich man in just one season. I think Butler has a skills set similar to Robinson and speed to burn. Should be interesting to watch.
