Butler has the size and speed to make a difference but, like Williams, the knock on him during his career has been inconsistency. Sometimes, a change of teams, scenery and offensive schemes will make a difference in a player's career. Hopefully, it will ultimately make a difference for Butler. If not, it's entirely possible he'll stick around strictly for depth and little more.

Easily in my top 3 or 4 guys I'm keeping a very close eye on this summer. His contributions this year will directly affect what we do in next years draft at WR IMO.

Agreed on former. Not sure on latter.

This is Butler's 4th year in the NFL. He's 26 years old. He's averaged 213 yards receiving in his first 3 seasons.

Maybe (hopefully) this year is different, however, this might be what he is.

I know football is more complex that simple throw and catch ... but the few times they hooked up. It seemed like it was that easy for Romo and Butler.

I am hoping they dial this up many times this year.

If Brice and Bryant can stretch defense and Ez can take some pressure off Romo.... THAT will extend Romo's health.... Career...

He has the physical talent, and Oakland knew that before they let him go for a 5th round pick. The Butler trade landed the #143 Overall where the Raiders selected a small RB Texas Tech who dances too much for succeeding in the League without changing his game. This is the NFL and there is likely or most certainly a flaw(s) in the WR.

All in All, by the 5th Round there isn't much left out there on Draft Day, Brice is like the athletic fliers the Cowboys took late in the 2016 Draft at the RB, CB, SS and TE positions..so add a WR to that mix...if one of those five end up starting then they were all worth the scatter shot drafting.

If the mental side holds their roster spot, the physical side of these four athletes will likely play out in the Dallas advantage, just hit on one and don't care which one it is, this is how you uncover a true diamond in the rough, mining through the physical talent to find the mentally capable, but you'll have to get lucky to uncover a real gem of a football player by his 20s' that hasn't already been located and set under a glass case.
