I'm going to disagree with Broaddus, because in the end, I think the Falcons defense would respect Romo's ability to run the offense more than Weeden.

I can't really disagree. Romo has been running the same offense this year. Dunking it off to Witten and Dunbar to ice the game. There is no real deep threat on this team.

Exactly
And they would have paid a price for stacking up to stop the run
Romo is going to find an open reciever and Weeden didn't
Plenty of blame to go around but had we did anything on offense in the second half we could have won that game
The defense got exposed but the offense was a big part of that
I think even Broaddus underestimate how important Romo is to this team even though he covers them for a living the Falcons can count their lucky stars Romo, wasn't out there and I can bet that they when they found out about Tony's injury last week they were high fiving each other that they didn't have to deal with him and they also saying that we got this game with Weeden as the QB and they did.

The difference with Romo is that even if he did dink/dunk, he at least posed a threat to throw it down field. He was okay with managing the field and taking what the defense gave them and as soon as ATL adjusted, he would've adjusted too.

Weeden posed no such threat.

On top of that Romo also has the ability to move in the pocket once it caves to make something of a play. This keeps the LBs honest while Weeden just gets swallowed up. He moves like pond water.

Broaduss is starting to sound a lot like Mickey S. About half of what comes out of his mouth is BS. Tony would have beat this team like a drum because he can actually go through his reads and actually can throw with touch. Weeden plays like RGIII without straight line speed. That one pass he didn't throw out of bounds and it got intercepted. Then you have the other where he thinks he is going to be sacked and lays down. Situation football is beyond his capabilities. He is what he is at this point.

1) My mistake believing that without Tevin Coleman in the Falcons lineup that they would struggle running the ball. Devonta Freeman played with a chip on his shoulder, and this offense didn’t miss a beat with him carrying the ball. Atlanta offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan punished this Dallas defense with Freeman’s carries, and by doing so, he was able to keep his offense ahead of the chains and on course.

2) I am interested in seeing how many times that cornerback Desmond Trufant lined up across from wide receiver Terrance Williams in this game? If it’s a significant number then I understand why he had a difficult time getting open. Trufant, in my opinion, was the Falcons best corner, and I even suggested staying away from him. But if Williams wasn’t matched on him the majority of the time then that’s a poor job on his part.

3) Because of the way the Falcons play defense, I knew that Lance Dunbar would have a big day. My thinking was based on the success that Dunbar had against Dan Quinn’s defense last year in Seattle. Dunbar is such a mismatch player, and the opportunities were there to take advantage of them.

He's right....we don't win this game with Tony and/or Dez....Defense was simply BRUTAL

Romo would have got some first downs and adjusted the field position and more importantly not allowed the Falcons to expose our defense that second half. Atlanta had all 11 guys in the presnap picture almost every play in the second half. No team could do that if Romo were in there.

No doubt Romo would have changed some plays. Weeden still had all day back there

True there isn't a more finesse team offensively than Atlanta but Shanahan knew that this defense was undermanned so he called a really good game offensively for the Falcons, and this defense made Freeman look like the second coming of Peterson but yes this defense will definitely get better down the stretch.

In the eagles vs Atlanta game he did a great job as well keeping them off balance with running and passing.

I remember a lot of 3rd down runs and I was like no don't run. Then. Oh yeah 1st down.

I think the coaching changes down there are paying big time early dividends.
