Immaturity wasn't his issue, imo. It was his lower intelligence. I don't see him excelling in our system. This year he's been ok... that shouldn't warrant big money

True but lower intelligence doesn't necessarily mean that they can never get it. it sometimes means it takes them longer to get it. I also know that he has some visual problems reading that were discussed when he was drafted. That makes it so that he learns much better through action as opposed to reading and contemplation. He's got a hammy now but I'm willing to let him play out and see how he does. If he continues to progress I can see the wisdom in bringing him back if the price is right.

He's damaged goods and everyone knows it.

I'd be willing to pay for an Uber trip to the airport. He can carpool with Carr, Church and Wilcox. You can have every one of em.

He is not that bright either.....better free agents will be available. Rather upgrade the position then go with an oft injured JAG.

Better cb's MAY be availible but until they actually hit the market you can't depend on them being there

In defense of Claiborne, not only has he been plagued with injury, but he's not had a consistent coordinator to develop him either. What we have seen of him now, even at a glance is growth from someone who knows how to develop talent. To be honest, I wasn't high on Claiborne to begin with. However, he does have the tools to be a good player. If he comes back on a friendly deal, it will be good for both parties, because I think he's not playing for a contract, but something to prove. When you're taken in the first round, and are scrutinized, it can make or break you. I just don't see that money only attitude with him. I may be a fool, but I hope not.

That's the list of CBs that will be available. There are not many that are "Better" than Claiborne.

Sean Smith
Prince Amukamara
Josh Norman (I'm sure Carolina will lock him up)
Janoris Jenkins

That's about it, and I'd only rank Smith and Norman above Claiborne with Norman only having one solid year under his belt. If you can get Claiborne at a good deal, sign him.
