So like I said, if you have any more names that I’m missing list them in the comments section. Just to let you know, I intend to put out my full 7 round Dallas Cowboy mock draft either this weekend or early next week. Trying to hold out on any potential signings by other teams and to make sure there are no changes with our own. Anyways, mock drafts are fun to debate and you’ll have a chace to rip mine apart!!!!! Draft is coming….April 25-26 so it’s getting close.
Also the NFL schedule will be released on Tuesday April 14. Something else to look forward to.

Interesting note on WR Casey Fitzgerald, North Texas, the next Wes Welker wannabe?

03/07/09 - North Texas Pro day: Twelve NFL teams were represented, watching five players work out. They ran on FieldTurf in the football stadium and did the jumps in the weight room. Wide receiver Casey Fitzgerald was the most notable player. He measured 5-9 5/8, 188 pounds and ran the 40 in a wind-aided 4.65 seconds; 4.74 seconds against the wind. He had a 36-inch vertical jump; a 9-foot, 10-inch long jump; and a 7.06-second cone drill. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
03/05/09 - I visited North Texas today for the Mean Green's pro day and there were a handful of NFL scouts there to evaluate wide receiver Casey Fitzgerald. Even though he led the NCAA in receptions last season with 113, Fitzgerald was not invited to the NFL scouting combine. He also caught 111 passes in 2007. "I've always been a big fan of Mike Leach and (Texas) Tech so I've watched them through the years," North Texas coach Todd Dodge said. "I was aware of Wes Welker when he came into football from a little private school in Oklahoma. All the things he did for Tech through the years I see the same type of skill level from Casey Fitzgerald." Welker was another player considered too small and too slow by the NFL. Even though he was Tech's all-time leading receiver, Welker was not invited to the combine nor was he drafted. But he led the NFL in receiving by his fourth season and went to the Pro Bowl in his fifth year in 2008. Fitzgerald measured 5-9 1/2, 188 pounds Thursday and ran his 40-yard dash in the mid-4.6s. One measurable the NFL will love is his hand size -- 9 1/4 inches. That's the same size hand as the draft's top receiver Michael Crabtree, who goes 6-1, 215. The bigger the hands, the more sure the hands. - Rick Gosselin, Dallas Morning News
02/16/09 - PRO POTENTIAL: WR Casey Fitzgerald had 113 receptions each of the past two seasons. It's doubtful he'll be drafted, but he could get make a roster via free agency.

Hamlin looks like a NFL player. Last year he really didn't play like one. I can't say I'd be displeased with Hamlin....well I can but I could easily be wrong about him. I'd prefer safer picks along the LOS or the BPA at any position. But what do I know.
