It's definitely a demotion, no matter what they say. Scandrick has largely outplayed Jenkins since day 1 last season and should get the start opposite Newman. I don't like what I saw from Jenkins, letting Justin F. Gage free for an untouched TD during the game.

Sometimes WRs get by you, Jenkins caught them both. He defended 3 bombs successfully. Jenkins had a 3.0 YPA against 5 direct targets in man to man coverage. They got a grand total of 15 yards on him on those 5 passes.

It's funny how Scandrick can let that Raiders guy blow by him late, but he gets a pass. I never heard or read a word about it from the Dallas media.

Kurt Warner threw a ball to Larry Fitzgerald, and he jumped over Anthony Henry and caught it. Young threw the same type of pass, and Jenkins knocked the ball away and didn't interfere while doing it. He was right there with the guy, on time.

Jenkins will win the job.

It does matter.

Wade said Jenkins played the coverage correctly on that play, and that the problem was actually his own playcall.
