He also commented on how impressed and shocked he was in the shape Darren McFadden showed up to camp.

For those that think McFadden is a goner, I believe they will be disappointed. Zeke was brought in to be a 3 down back but if Zeke was unable to perform those duties for whatever reason, McFadden is the only other back on our roster that is versatile enough to handle those duties and he also has the trust in the coaching staff which says a ton considering how reluctant they are to put a back with less experience in the backfield with their aging QB.

Morris will be the one fighting for a job, he is just not versatile enough to be the main back in this offense. If Zeke shows he is a better short yardage option than Morris, Morris doesn't make this team IMO. He could stick around until Dunbar comes back though.

After a full year of good health, McFadden is in pretty great shape for a back his age.
Morris came in looking real good too.

We took sand to the beach using the 4th overall on Zeke.
But yes, he should eventually do great.

It's going to be interesting to see how the depth chart plays out with the running backs here.

I have a feeling that Dunbar might wind up the odd man out because of Jackson.

I believe this may be the case eventually but Dunbar can be put on PUP and we can hold him on there until late season when we have an eventual injury at the position.

Some beaches get eroded and need new sand....so we have a reserve sand pile to be prepared....:D....

Zeke may be shell-shocked now...but lets hope he shell-shocks our opponents.

It'll be interesting to see how it shakes up. I think Dunbar is a goner for Jackson and I can't see both McFadden and Morris being kept.

I think the PERFECT scenario is starting RB - Zeke, Primary BACKUP - Morris, 3rd Down RB - DMC

not sure dunbar would be coming back. morris also isn't a dunbar type replacement so there could be more churning. i do believe mcfadden will be fine - he's earned it. a #4 pick in the draft is fine. the rest, battle it out.

I think it would be great if DMC and Morris are too good not to see the field. Zeke is the future and will probably become a 3 down bell cow RB. We don't need to beat him up as a rookie. Keeping him fresh for the 4th quarter by letting DMC and Morris take some carries to pound the middle of the D sounds like a solid game plan to me.

Zeke = 275 carries, 25 receptions
Morris = 105 carries
DMC = 100 carries, 45 receptions

This seems doable.
