Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's the quality of defensive lines (or lack thereof) we've seen lately, but it not only looks like Cooper is an upgrade. His presence looks to have enabled Smith, Frederick, and Martin to pick up their game in recent weeks too. They look more comfortable out there trusting that Cooper will do his job.
Again, maybe that's a lower level of competition, or maybe they're really starting to gel? Only time will tell.
But I'm glad that he's gotten the opportunity and seized it. I still feel that this isn't what should have happened from the start. And despite what some dummy still keeps saying, Cooper has ended the conversation. It's his job.
Maybe they'd be even further along if it happened sooner?
