For those that don't trust Garrett, Jones or the FO but want a top 5 pick is confusing. What makes you think that these same people that are "dumb" will get the top 5 pick right?

Its actually pretty logical thinking my friend.

The problem is that Garrett cant coach, he brings nothing to the table just like Gosseling said this week. We primarily win because of talent alone, our players have to win their individual matchups against their counterparts. Their is no deception, strategy, or creativity to help them achieve this, it is simply our guy must beat their guy simply based on his individual talent.

We need to have the most talented players available in order to achieve this goal. The higher you pick in the draft, usually the more talented player is available. Of course you can always get a bust like Claiborne, but in general the higher you pick the better of player you get.

Ergo, in order to win with Garrett as head coach, we must have top talent players that can win their individual matchups. The best chance for this to happen is by picking higher in the draft. So the logic is very sound, if we keep Garrett and his staff for next year, we need the most talented players as possible to win their individual matchups.

I've been asking similar questions for years. There is no logical answer but the question sometimes receives an extremely weak "even a blind squirrel can find a nut" analogy response, which is kinda funny. The draft is often a crapshoot, so depending on Jerry Jones' luck as a given is pretty darn funny to say the least.

Its actually pretty logical, see my other post in this thread for detailed explanation.
