Oh don't get me wrong ...... I love our players (or at least the ones who love to play football instead of smoke weed)
And I will be in full cheer mode when games actually start ..... I just do not think this front office or coaching staff can help the players make it happen ..... If I am wrong it would be the most delicious crow I ever ate ...... I would enjoy every bite.

Actually, I've been one to rip Jerry for this and that at every turn and have stated my discontent at times to my heart's content. The thing is, though, that my love for the team and the good guys that serve it well always seem to win out over the seedier elements of the team and those that don't care enough to serve it well. I'm finally learning to temper my expectations, sit back and enjoy it for what it does for me.

In other words, I'll state my complaints as well as the praise here and get past it. It's time for Cowboys football -- and that never fails to make my life way more enjoyable, despite their faults and misgivings. Right now, I can't wait for preseason and everything that follows to get underway -- the good with the bad. I've been watching C'boys football since the days of QB Eddie LeBaron and never have been able to get enough.

Now, I’m not a scout, but I’ve seen a lot of football. And Elliott’s first step isn’t quick, it’s an explosion and even with that burst, his ability to cut in either direction comes with the natural ease that most of us drink a milkshake. Watching the first three workouts, it’s like he possesses one of those old school acceleration buttons on a video game controller. Except that he utilizes it every snap.

As Bart Scott (I think that's his name) said, "Can't wait!"
