Let’s begin here: From a Cowboys perspective, the game in Denver was a disaster. It is true that when you look at the tape of any game, things were seldom as good or as bad as they seemed. But that was a stinker, with a capital stink. A perfect template for how this team’s season could go horribly wrong.

But for that to happen, they’d have to play like this over and over. And there is nothing in the DNA of this team to suggest that’s about to happen.

There were no games like this one last year. There were a couple, especially against New England and Green Bay, in 2015, but with all of the injuries on that team, especially at quarterback, that year gets thrown out. The only real stinker in ’14 was the Thanksgiving game after a Sunday night road game in New Jersey. That was an anomaly. There have been one or two every year since most of this coaching staff has been together, and they have always identified the problems and bounced back. That’s their history.

very good perspective on the instant evaluators that infest this board.

And on the effect all the media coverage and fantasy football have on how people look at things; like his knock on the dumb gamblers as well.

Fantasy football breaks the bond between fans and teams when the fans fixate on players instead.

if they don't get it fixed quick there playoff season will be over pretty quick regardless of how many articles like this are written the bottom line is you have to win on the field this team didn't just lose a game they were dominated pushed around they lost in every phase of the game

I'm always curious what punctuation did to you in a previous life?

It his typical Debby downer stuff, I just usually skip over it. it his a drive by non-pun post.

nothing he said was wrong tho. we got dominated in every phase of the game. all 4. yes it happens, but lets make sure we remember, it happened. Some of us were saying the defense is going to have hiccups. It did. pure fact. Most fans crowed about the number 1 Offensive line the rest of us keep hearing about. It must have forgot the game was on Sunday.

If we bounce back, great, if not, some of us were already seeing the writing on the wall. Some other are going to have to accept the fact about Garrett also.

I knew in advance that the 'instant evaluators' would have a field day after that Denver implosion.

To be painfully honest and honestly candid, we just don't match up very well with those Broncos.
honestly It's been said I think their a better team

Having hunted deer in Colorado, and being in great shape as a long distance runner I for one can attest to the fact that altitude has on your performance. Any sudden burst leaves you wondering what is happening and , at least to me, probably had the dual impact of mental and physical diminishing of the teams ability to deliver.

Altitude — and players such as John Elway and Karl Mecklenburg and coaches Dan Reeves and Mike Shana-han — are big reasons the Broncos have the NFL’s best home record (212-72) since 1975. ( article I got this from was from 2016 )
