One way or another, expectations will be high for Crawford as he returns from offseason surgery on the shoulder injury that bothered him for most of last season. He fought through that pain to post five sacks last year, but he said he’s encouraged as he continues his recovery.

“It’s extremely helpful to just have the strength back that I didn’t have last year,” he said. “I’m back up to almost where I was before the injury. I’m feeling real good. I’m feeling confident about it as well.”

Always had high hopes for the guy but this is really the make or break year IMO. If he can't make a big impact this year, it's looking like we overpaid for an average player.

Crawford and Tapper are two guys I am going to be very interested in watching.

In 2014, T Crawford ranked 102nd in pressures, in 2015 he ranked 63rd in pressures. At least he's trending up.

More disturbing than our league bottom ( or near bottom) 32 sacks is the low amount of pressures. Every team in the NFC east has 3-5 players that are top 100 in the league. We had 1. That's it. One.

I am just glad we got a capable backup for him in Collins, maybe some reduced minutes will increase his productivity

Not sure what website your using for those stats, but Crawford was easily more disruptive in 2014 than he was last year.

The injury really explains Crawford's performance falloff last year - although he had great penetration, he couldn't wrap-up, so his "pressures" didn't really pan out. R-cuff is a tough injury to recover from, especially for lineman. Fingers crossed for his recovery.

I still think that has more to do with scheme than players.

I thought it was interesting that he admitted to calling out Gregory and Lawrence. At least he is showing some semblance of being a leader. Coach Clapper is probably just telling the team that it's a process.
