DE Matt Roth in 2 fights at practice

I love seeing this kinda fire from Rookies and heck even from Vets to me it shows desire and heart.....I hope we have the fighting spirit in our team this year....

Jamey Eisenberg, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins rookie DE Matt Roth got into his second fight of training camp, this time with OT Anthony Alabi. Both Roth and Alabi had to be separated. Roth said after his first scrum that he didn't want to get into any more fights. "It is really hard when you're out there tired and getting the juices flowing," Roth said. "Once in a while there could be a fight, but hopefully I won't be in any of them."

How can you say that? Maybe he is just intense. They do drug screenings on rookies around draft time, and afterwards.

Perhaps, but I've watched this guy play. He's a for sure, lunch pale, hustle all out all the time teeth bending fool. He is exactly what you want want in a phone both, if it comes to that.

As long as he doesn't become like Turley. I'm all for being fired up but there has to be some control. Granted right now in TC I love it but lets see if it becomes a problem on Sundays....

Not sure how old you are Bungarian. It never occured to me that that statement might be archaic.

In the "old days" they used to put phones in what amounted to a 4x4x10 box or so with a folding door. It was pretty snug in there with two people. Two big guys in that little phone both get in a scrap and the toughest one was bound to win for sure. No room to move much. No room to hide.



Sorry guys, I didn't realize what I'd done there. Compounded the problem with my last post. I ment phone booth, but then, you jackasses new that didn't yeah.

I was out at Dolphins camp for their Monday evening practice and saw him get into the first fistacuffs. Roth is intense on each play, even in practice!

Probably because he's getting beat.

Anyway, Saban has been having him line up in Jason Taylor's DE spot when Taylor moves to ILB in the 3-4.
