he sure had an impressive combine performance.....

I really like this guy. I havent felt this confident about a UT DE since Tony Brackens came out. Robison has a non stop motor. He was all over the ball, play in and play out. He consistently makes plays along the line of scrimmage and behind it.

I would definitely be happy if the Cowboys drafted him to be a backup to either Ware or Ellis...

I just hope that the Skins or Eagles dont draft him.....I want to be able to root for him as a pro.

He's a solid player and a great athlete, but I wouldn't take him before the fourth round. If we don't take a OLB on the first day, we should definitely try to find someone in the fourth or fifth round, and Robison will be at the top of the list unless he's already gone.

If I had to guess, I'd say that he'll go off the board somewhere in the third round. But I don't know if it would be worth it to spend a third round pick on depth. There will be other guys that we can get later on who will also be able to provide good depth.

I kept an eye on him a lot this season because I live in an area where I get a lot of Texas games and the guy was a tremendous player. When I watched him I thought he would do perfect playing the LOLB position for us.

I wouldn't be against him in the 2nd but if he was there in the 3rd it would be hard for me to pass on him if I were the Cowboys. Hes going to be a good player for someone.

He sure looked the part at the combine...but I am not sure of his instincts as I haven't seen him play

He is an outstanding special teams player as well who has great leaping ability.

I am a Texas homer, but I would love to see a star on his helmet...he is a sleeper who might turn some heads in a few years.

he ran a 4.66 40

I saw a 4.67 listing... and Tim Crowder had a 4.69...

But man, the 40 he ran is only the beginning of the GREAT day Robison had...

He put up 32 reps in the bench press (Crowder did 27)... I didn't suspect that either one was that strong...

He put up a 40.5 inch vertical jump-- at 260 pounds... that was by far the best number posted by any defensive lineman, the next best was 4 inches less...

His 4.26 20 yard shuttle was the 3rd fastest run (Crowder's 4.32 was the 4th)...

His 10 foot, 1 inch broad jump was the best for a defensive lineman...

His 6.89 second 3 cone drill was also the fastest by any defensive lineman...

Basically, he had the best day of any defensive lineman out there... for some reason, I always thought that Crowder was the faster and more athletic of the two, but that was clearly disproven today... oh, Tim didn't do anything to hurt himself, he's still a likely 2nd or 3rd round draft pick... but Brian may actually have moved a bit ahead of him on most teams' draft boards after today...

I like Robinson quite a bit and think his transition to being a LB in the NFL would be quite smooth. He played LB in HS, and came to UT as a LB before making the transition to DE for his sophomore season. His good times really don't surprise me that much either, he's demonstrated his explosiveness as a pretty good track athlete throwing the shotput and discus in addition to playing football.

I knew they could play BUT I didn't realize they would be this athletic also. OK, they'll both be gone by the end of round 2.....BOTH would look great in a Cowboys uniform!!!

Brian is a certified badass. That vertical leap has helped him block a lot of FG attempts during his career too. He would have an easy transition to OLB and could hold his own in coverage.

I'd love to see him in silver and blue.

He's definitely the "non stop motor" type. Not ever gonna get 20 sacks a season but will probably have a solid career because he plays hard every play.

Both Robison and Crowder will be off the board by the 3rd round IMO. I'd draft either one. I don't see a pass rushing OLB as a depth move. I see it as a must if we are going to ever be a good defense. Ellis may or may not come back but if he does, there is nothing that says he will be the same player. We needed another pass rusher before Ellis ever went down. Proof being just how far we feel off when Ellis went down should confirm that for anybody. To me, either of those guys would be good moves for us.

Robison was projected to go on the second day at best in the 4th round, but more likely in the 5th. His combine performance may have pushed him up definitley into a solid 4th rounder or possible late 3rd rounder. If he is there in the 4th when Dallas picks, he would be a good pick up. I don't think any team is going to elevate him into the 2nd round based on his combine.

I think that based on his combine, his performance at the All Star games and the relative lack of talent at OLB, he could easily get drafted earlier then the 4th round. I mean, if it were a draft like 05 where you have some good talent available, I'd probably agree with you but this year, who knows?
