Which back would you rather have? Or, to put it another way, who will have the better career - DeAngelo or Julius? For some reason DeAngelo reminds me a lot of #22. What about we trade down a few spots, get a 4th round pick, and pick DeAngelo? Then we trade Julius for an early second round pick and a maybe a 5th rounder. That way we load up on early draft picks, and we upgrade at tailback.

I know - it'll never happen. But wouldn't some serious draft day drama be fun!

Exactly. Plus JuJo has already proven he can be an elite RB. He jsut has to stay healthy and be consistent.

DeAngelo Williams, Although I like his abilities, is an unknown as far as the pro game goes.

At what cost? Second or third round, maybe. First round, hell no.

Yes, but nobody has answered the key question. Who will have the best NFL career? I'll go on record saying that I believe DeAngelo will have the better NFL career.

guys with Julius' burst come along once in a blue moon. he's missed a lotta games - but he's flashed that 200-yard game ability several times.

stay the course. it's a real no-brainer....

I'd have to say Julius, I've seen how good he can be already

Williams doesnt remind me at all of Emmitt, I'm not sure why people keep making that comparison...other than possibly being about the same height (5'9 maybe) there is nothign remotely close in terms of their running style or talent

Williams is not as talented as Julius Jones either

Williams is better than jones, but RB is not a big enough need for us to take him if hes around at 18

williams not as talented as julius? the only aspect in which julius is better is raw speed, and we saw how emmit did without that. Williams was the only player on his team, with i think it was 3? different qb's his senior season, and he still put up some of the greatest college numbers of all time - for freakin memphis!

I'd rather have Williams, but not enough to spend my top draft pick on him.

I'd also rather have the TE from Maryland, but I wouldn't draft him and push Witten aside....Bush is the only RB I'd spend a first round pick on considering who we have now...that's not saying the guys we have are as good as the backs available.

I understand that everyone hopes that Jones will be better, but there was a reason he lasted as long as he did in the draft. Last year, he looked slow. Granted he was hurt, but that's one more reason why I believe Jones will never be the guy. I hope I'm wrong. If our brain trust has Williams rated in the top 10 and he falls, then take him.

if our braintrust has Williams in their top-10, we need a new braintrust

I agree 1000%. It's funny how people make comparisons to players just because they have similar body features.

Just because my neighbor is the same height and weight as Michael Jordan, doesn't mean he reminds me of Jordan the basketball player.

Williams will be a decent back ... maybe even a very good one. But there's only ONE Emmitt Smith. Williams is NOT Smith.

We have bigger needs. Julius still has another year to prove himself.

Fix the OL, and see how good our RB's can suddenly be.

Let's say you had a great 3rd down change-of-pace RB, but you tried to use him as an everydown back.

How would you expect this 3rd down back to perform as an everydown back?

It would probably be pretty similar what Julius Jones has done so far.

That's my worry about Julius Jones. He has yet to show that he's truly cut out to be an every down NFL back.

A 1st round RB isn't a high priority for the Cowboys today, but it wouldn't be a crazy move....
