Because they are really good at selling the idea that we are next years champs...
They only sell that notion to suckers.

That is possible, kitna should be able to help dak be better, just have to wait and see.The new qb coach should help Dak. See that as a plus.
Guys on one year or short term contracts.
A guy like Suh, for example. He signed a one year deal last year with the Rams, played decently enough for them and because he was a one year deal, they now have the luxury of letting him walk if they want and not have any cap implications like that. The Eagles signed Alshon Jeffery to a one year deal and won a SB that year. Now they eventually extended him long term but they had the ability to let Jeffery walk after a year if they wanted to and it would have had no long term implications on their cap.
There are deals like that every year, where there are vets that can still play that sign short term, even one year deals, to help a team in the short term that won't muck up a team's cap down the road.
And this franchise REFUSES to take advantage of that. So, frankly, the argument that we can't sign really anyone good in FA because it will hurt us signing guys down the road is poppycock. Teams somehow make this work all the time.
To me a good way to correct that would be fire a couple of coaches. This isnt the first game this past season where they have been run over.the rams ran for what 275 yards on the cowboys, in a div rd game, and FO has done nothing to correct that.
So that seems like a big failure to me.
Any team playing dallas next season should just run the ball on them.
How can anyone with a right mind defend these guys? Its been 22+ years of crap? Until they win anything then go ahead and defend. We have been down this road before, they think they are close and refused to do anything to make this team better. 2009 ring any bells????
Romo was done but the big problem is the front office stopped looking for a franchise QB not realizing this team is carrying Dak.This is a FO that choose Dak over Romo.....do we really have to say anymore here about Jerry and his Yes men.....24 years will become 34 years and and and and and......
He was coaching Dak last year. The new qb coach should help Dak. See that as a plus.
Yes but to use FA effectively you have to achieve a balance between the two.The first 16 or so years of that 22 you mentioned, saw Dallas as one of the biggest spending teams in free agency.
Yet the most consistent success of those 22 years has been the last 5 years when they’ve won 3 division titles... the last 3 years seeing them with the second most wins in the NFL. When they’ve been frugal in free agency.
Spending big on other teams players doesn’t automatically breed success.
yeah but they didnt, and you know 150 yds would be bad for playoff game, but 275 was off the charts bad, that say something is really wrong. To me a good way to correct that would be fire a couple of coaches. This isnt the first game this past season where they have been run over.

What we should prioritize is building a team that can contend for the super bowl.I don't understand the logic to prioritizing our own guys over everyone else. Shouldn't we prioritize the guy who will have the biggest impact regardless of where he comes from? These guys know this is a business so if a guy moved on it's no big deal.
If you can completely shut down the Saints in New Orleans on Prime Time, you have the talent. Fail to use it properly or become predictable, or out schemed, the Arizona Cardinals will put up 40.Define "just fine". They may not be talented enough for a playoff run.
The master plan is a couple more years Bob, the evidence has been layed out for all to see.I have made abundantly clear my dislike for Jerry and his boy as FO leaders. But tofair, it’s still way too early to declare this offseason a failure. We still several big FA players to possibly nail down, the draft is over a month away.
Despite my disdain for GM Jerry, I’m not ready to declare this offseason a failure yet. We need to wait at least a couple of months IMO.
They actually did add a piece - Covington - although while he should be a quality rotational piece probably won’t be a high impact player. But much of what will help is LVE and Jaylon Smith gaining some experience. They were consistently fooled by the shorts and motion in that game.the rams ran for what 275 yards on the cowboys, in a div rd game, and FO has done nothing to correct that.

worry about football, not the FO and worry about the present and future not he past.. the goings on about contracts, business, and other non on the field and players content is out of control..when teams start practicing , TC, Pre-season and actual games can start some real Fan football talk, we can worry about that, not business. all the worry about what the FO and owners do behind the scenes and the cap is losing battle, it has zero to do with what fans want, to watch and debate the actual playing of Football or what ever sport you are into..How can anyone with a right mind defend these guys? Its been 22+ years of crap? Until they win anything then go ahead and defend. since when has the operations of a corporation become a fans business,
do you break down general Mills, GE, Coke, Pepsi, Nabisco, and all those Corps and start debating how they spend money? I dint see many have issues with AA, US air, and all the others needing bailouts and change what they do in their daily lives. do you go to restaurant's and ask for price break downs and P&Ls before you eat or after and complain how much you are being screwed in detail in a forum?
I sincerely doubt it, the product and service can be reviewed for sure but not the behind the scenes corporate structures, what they pay waitresses and bar tenders, cost for the space, and price breakdowns. its the same here , stop worrying about all but the final product, lets debate the football aspect on the field play and what we can truly judge..
they truly know a ton more about this then us, let them worry about it..
