It’s hard for me to be disappointed by a defense that I have very low expectations to begin with. There are maybe 4 guys on this defense that would start anywhere else.
I know Eberflus and his zone schemes deserve lots of blame. But he is the 4th defensive coordinator in 6 seasons; the 3rd in 22 months. Yes he sucks, but he’s not the BIGGEST issue.
The Cowboys organization cannot make up its mind what kind of defensive philosophy they want. Maybe instead of letting each DC draft “their guys”, then changing DCs every year, they could decide what they want to be and stick with it.
