Somebody forgot to tell Demarcus Ware that, he had more sacks than our entire defense did last night.

It's preseason.

So when the season starts, will it be okay to be concerned?

Or will the meme become "you cannot have steak on every plate" and "this was a two year project"?

Sorry it is what it is. That DL last night is about as frightening as I have ever seen as long as I have been watching this team. And that includes the bad Johnson teams and even the Campo boys.

Move on to what?

Pretending we actually have the three players that we could just replace his productivity with?

Dude are you serious right now? Most of that defense was our backups. Over half of our real starting defense didn't play. Back away from the computer the sky is not falling.

He's old. He's gone.

I've seen 500 posts here and on DC.com about how we should have kept Ware. He got a whole sack yesterday.

He's gone. He's 32. His contract is massive. Time to quit whining about it.

You do realize that the idea is we replace Ware with Mincey, Lawrence and maybe Wilson.

Two of the three played and did nothing.

You are right. Stop crying and start sobbing we actually have Jeremy Mincey as an affirmed starter on this defense.

I just wonder how long it will take for people to get he is the DE version of Nick Hayden.

2 of the 3 played in 1 game. 2 of the 3 didn't play in more than 3 series. Ware looked god body last year in camp and preseason. How did those 6 sacks work out for him?

You know who did have a sack, two pressures, and a nice tackle at the line of scrimmage yesterday?

D-Ware

That guy who was supposedly washed up and was going to likely just continue to go downhill.

I've said all along that the supposed demise of Ware was premature and the first preseason game was just the first small sample of that.

Ware is going to sacks simply because the defense will be playing with a lead. Probably a big one. Ware was a luxury that we could no longer afford. Anyone thinking he couldn't still be productive is stupid.

You always let them go a year too early rather than a year too late if you can.

Fans cry for a rational front office. When they see the actions of one...they cry for an irrational front office.

And the wheel turns on....

A decent contract and a fresh start in a new environment where he can succeed. It has happened to other great pass rushers before and I am certain it will do so for him.

I just wonder if by some miracle we get six sacks out of three non-talent bums that people will still think that equals the simple fact that Ware represented a threat, if even by reputation. Opponents still respected what he was when he stepped on the field.

We have nobody, and I mean nobody that any offensive line coach would respect as an edge rusher. We just are sitting here hoping we get more Selvies. And quite honestly, on real winning team, that is a bonus. Not a key piece.

Signing a player like Mincey to replace him is the act of a rational front office? Feel free to explain that.

And why couldn't we afford that luxury, boys and girls?

Didnt Clemens take a loss on the last play before the field goal at the end of the second? I guess it was a running play for a loss but it plays the same.

have to laugh at those that claim we can do anything we wanted to in FA. If that was the case we would have kept Ware. Fact was that we could not afford him any more if he was going to keep getting injured; and the judgment was made that he would. I hated to see him go but could understand the reasoning. Added to that I think at this stage of his career he could not hold up playing DE. at least not for 40 or more snaps a game anyway.
