With the 49ers and Jimmy's thumb issues, I suspect they'll be running the ball like they did yesterday. Watching the Eagles game, apparently the defense is still a bit prone to the run. I know we'll have Parsons and a few others back, what do you think Dallas will adjust to handle these runs? Are going to stick to the man coverage?

i would plan to hinder the 49'ers passing game. The defensive line should be back up and full depth. That with Parcells back in the box. Score some points!

It’s about us stuffing the run on first and or second down. And the short stuff. But more than that we need to score. Jump out quick and get up on them. Make them one dimensional and rush the passer..

.......some are saying a punch in the mouth is coming and the weaker team in and out of the trenches is about to be exposed.......wonder which one that will be?......must be the niners, we’re the #3 seed, after all

Dallas' defense has adjusted nicely when teams try to run a lot. They give up some big runs at the beginning of the game, but then they buckle down. Kittle and their front four on defense will give us fits, but I'm not worried about their rushing attack.

we will actually have gameplan for that unlike the philly game i guarantee they didn't emphasize anything with a gp, as is the case with most final games with no real meaning, no gameplan etc

the fact they did have some issues with the run game is a positive to note in meeting room film sessions for that defense. they will see firsthand what they need to work on all week and be ready for Sunday.

I would have more run blitzes and play more zone on 1st and 2nd down. Let the DB's keep their eyes in the background and not just get run off by WRs.

Eagles and SF run block as well as any two teams I've seen all year.

That's why we need to play with a lead.....then keep adding.

SF stuck with the run down 17-0 yesterday.

If Parcells is in the lineup we are in serious trouble...we need to show we can stop the run first forcing 3 and longs. This is where our pass rush is going to make a difference. Running the ball neutralizes any pass rush.

Perfect game for zone defense IMO

The premium has to be on gap control discipline and wrap up tackling (both things we are weak on)

Parsons and Kearse will be key in run support

Score early

Give the 49ers the Zeke treatment. Stack the box and dare Jimmy G and his bad thumb to beat us.

Diggs gotta be licking his chops.

Cowboys Offense cant have a bunch of 3 and outs or 6 and outs. Defense will get gassed playing tough run defensive football. Need to score early and put pressure on 49ers to play catch up.

We need to get up early with points and win in the passing game. Our offense must make them switch from a running team to playing catch up through the air. We do that, and we will have very good chances of winning.

LVE is going to have man up and play tackle football.

He can’t be a listless paper towel trying to take on blocks and play the run.

Totally agree this is about putting your head in there and being willing to tackle somebody
LVE is a business decision maker and makes me want to puke just watching him.

Find somebody willing to sacrifice their body and try and make a name for themselves. That's what we need to stop the run sacrifice

We should have adjusted for this in the draft a long time ago. Avoiding the use of a high draft pick on a run stopper bites you in the *** right about next week.

The talent we have is what we have there is no procuring a Haloti Nagta or Dontari Poe in their prime before next week. This really isn't rocket science you are pitting the biggest strongest men against one another in the trenches and the biggest and strongest usually win.

Hard to scheme around not having a guy big and strong enough not to get pushed back.

That said if we get out in front of them and make them have to pass it will force them to have to deal with our strength which is our pass rush.

The best prep we can do for the defense is to prep the offense to get a fast start
