Defense will struggle all year

Something's wrong for sure. I think it's the Secondary and Linebackers. Romo needs to score 35 pts. a game to have a chance. Pass rush was not good...or the Giants OF line is very good. I suspect a little of both. All in all, unless there are some new faces, I'm betting another 8 and 8 season..out of the playoffs...Hope I'm wrong.

The Giants O-Line is extremely good. Top 3 in the league, easy.

I'm more concerned with what our pass rush showed (or didn't show) in Tampa.

The defense will struggle until Wade learns to stop slant routes, and the safeties and line backers learn to cover the middle of the field 12-15 yards from the los. It's killed us for years now.

This team reminds me of the early 80's Chargers. Great offense, terrible defense.

Wade is extremely over rated when it comes to being a DC.

I don't believe so. As a defensive coordinator, Wade is highly respected around the league, and his overall performance record supports his lofty reputation.

As difficult as it may be to accept, the problem may reside with the personnel on the defensive side of the ball. There's a reason players are administered intelligence and personality tests prior to the draft; the ability and willingness to learn the NFL game is every bit as important as physical ability.

Dumb players are bad players, regardless of their talent. The Cowboys have a veteran defense that is playing its third year in the same scheme. If they don't "get it" by now -- if they still don't understand the various coverages and their individual responsibilities at this point -- we have every reason to question their football intelligence.

It almost seems as if the defense is regressing rather than improving.
