Well you can win for longer and with consistency with offense.

Defense will make you great for a lil while, but its so many moving parts that you lose them quick. If you want to win for a decade, have a great offense, and make the D a bunch of hired guns. Takes alot of draft resources to make a great D, resigning offensive players will make you great for a longer period of time.

Except 3 of the top 11 defensive teams won in the wild card round this weekend....

Two of those three were playing against backup QB's who had no business being out there. Not that the outcomes would have necessarily changed but it sure didn't help those teams.

The Raiders would have more than likely destroyed the Texans yesterday if Carr played.

I think Dallas beats GB by at least two scores next week, even if Nelson and Montgomery play at full strength (which seems unlikely anyway). The Cowboys will run all over that defense, kill them with play action, and keep Rodgers off the field with TOP. Now that the Giants (whom I think have the defense to at least go head to head with Dallas' offense) are out, there is no one left IMO (including New England) that can stop the Cowboys offense. In fact, the only way I see Dallas possibly losing is in a shootout with Atlanta, which may not even make the NFCC, and whose defense is worse than the Cowboys' anyway.

Sounds good for Dallas' offense...but what about what the Packers' offense will do?

They didn't destroy them with Carr the last time they played.

I should have said win I suppose...

Carr vs. Texans compared to Cook vs. Texans is a 20 point swing.

Carr threw for 300 yards and 3 TDs against Houston. What did Cook do?

There isn't a set formula. Sometimes offense. Sometimes defense.

Either way, Packers beat the Cowboys next week. They are rolling.
The way you keep sharing that sounds almost like you'd be more pleased to call it right than to have Dallas win....but I'm sure that can't be true.

Just put on noise cancelling headphones.

If the Giants won, he would say the Giants are rolling.

All the defensive NFL teams are either sitting at home our about to get knocked out of the playoffs in the Giants case.

It's looking like Offense will be the reason for a championship this year.

Chiefs and Seahawks are the only real good defensive teams left and even Seattle isn't nearly as good without Earl Thomas.
Well you still have to have a decent offense and score enough points to win.
Giants scored 13 that wont win most of the time unless your defense is awesome, and your not playing rodgers.

This game taking fg's not td's then the hail mary, killed the giants.

I like our chances with Zeke running the ball and Dak's pinpoint passing.
Our D has been playing well.

Go Cowboys!! Finish this!

Texans are trash and Pittsburgh is not a defensive team.

My post has championship in it so I think we can disqualify Houston.
Pittsburgh was the 11th best defense in football. Call it whatever you want. Facts are facts.

Love your posts but can't say I agree with the second half of this one. They pundits had them shutting our run game down in the first matchup. They are coming in limping even if they've been hot. Could they win it at our house? Sure. But from my perspective we win handily. Double digits.

Dak hasn't exactly been a pinpoint passer. He's simply taken the safe throws.

But we are the favorite and understandably so.

And if the Cowboys win next week, then it will be half the board running scared of the Falcons offense of half the board running scared of the Seattle defense

I remember so many scared of the spare Commanders team and how Cousins was the second coming of Joe Montana.

They beat down the 12-4 Raiders in Oakland, who had the 2 seed in the AFC in the bag until recently.

Cowboys haven't lost at home since opening day...by 1 point.

The cheeseheads are 4-4 on the road. They are simply not the same team playing away.

They are about to hit a wall playing in our house.
