I'll spin it the other way. Teams with defenses which emulate accordions in the second half rarely win championships.

Amen. You’d think the team would have learned from watching the Giants the last 10 years. It should be harder than it looked to drive 75 yards in a minute only using 1 timeout.

The team does not get CONSISTENT pressure. Only when Green Bay’s OL had missed assignments. This team gets no penetration on the front 4 which is a must to contain the run.

I’d say maybe we’ll find a way to draft one but does anyone have confidence this FO can do it? Will McClay needs to start getting some heat.

It's got to be frustrating for the offense. They basically have to score a TD every time they're on the field, and make sure the last one comes with 2 seconds left in the game. This team is going nowhere with "this defense" as it is right now.

Anyone who thought the defense was going to be good based on game 1 vs a terrible Giants team was delusional. You could tell it was the Giants that where terrible unless you never watch football.

Obviously they're not as good as when they thread surfaced after the Giants game, but I believe the removal Sean Lee is a massive factor. One or two good plays from him (or helping others know where to go) could have been the difference today.

Green Bay has made the postseason in 9 of the last 11 seasons and is well on their way again.

They've had a good defense a few times along the way. And absolute trash many other times. Yet they remain in contention.

Here? We had a borderline HOF QB in Tony Romo for a decade. And basically challenged for the postseason once every other year.

Something has to give.

Capers. Even when he may have a below average defense, you can expect him to show up with a gameplan that will do just enough.
