Defensive Analysis

Did Griz or anybody break down the problems with our defense? Also I was wondering why we don't play inverted cover 2 and let the safetys play the short zone and the corner backs play long pass? This will also help the passes to the backs and tightends, which the safetys will have a better shot defending from short field. Any suggestions?
