Defensive package on the Tank sack? 4-4-3?

Looked weird. Has anyone seen/heard/read about this in camp?

As far as I can tell, it was:

Down Linemen: Ratliff, Spears, Tank, and Canty
Linebackers: Ware, Bradie, Zach, and Ellis
Defensive Backs: Roy, Hamlin, and a single corner (likely Henry).

This is essentially a goalline package. But it was 2nd and long. Clearly it did the job here, but that would scare the bejesus out of me in a real game if they actually got a pass off.

The only two numbers I could make out in the secondary were 38 and 26. Don't know who the corner was, but it looked like Henry's body.

This is from N Eatman's article:

"The second play was even better. The Cowboys will show a 4-4 look, taking out a cornerback, Mike Jenkins in this case, and inserting nose tackle Tank Johnson, who just so happened to get a sack. The Cowboys will look to match up personnel with opponents. If they see two tight ends, with two running backs, they're going with that bigger package. And you can do that when you have cornerbacks that cover."

my only problem with that is if we are playing the Saints I'd rather have two CB's and one safety

Yeah, I noticed they only had 1 WR in the game. But if it was a real game, one of those TEs would be Antonio Gates, who, as far as I'm concerned, should be treated as a WR.

Interesting look though. With 8 possible rushers, you better get the ball off quick, or else obviously someone will get you.
