I think Hamlin will rotate giving help to Henry and Reeves, not sitting on just one side. When Reeves is occasionally by himself, he'll give up some short ones to prevent the long one.

I don't expect to see Roy playing deep zone...been there, done that...he needs to help with the run, help the pass rush, and mostly he needs to do a decent job this year on Shockey.

With Hamlin hopefully doing a nice job helping the CB's and a decent pass rush and disguised coverages, I think the key to our defense will be Roy doing a better job than he has in the past on Shockey. If Roy can't cover the TE, we'll have trouble stopping the G-men.

I hope we put enough pressure on Eli not to worry about Reeves, I'm not to worried about Jacobs, he's not shifty nor the pass catcher Tiki is.

Yep it'll come down to pressure put on the QB. If Eli has any time to throw he'll have a good day. If we get pressure on Eli he'll have a rough day.

Anyone see them going 4 wide to force Roy and even Hamlin or a LB into coverage...........can see them putting Schokey into motion to take a LB out into coverage, or forceing Roy into showing ...........

if so, can we get to Eli quik enough to keep them out of it repeatedly.........

ohhhhhh i love the strategy of football............the unilimited possibilties, but the 1 single constant (games won in the pit)

or....

They can go four wide then run Jacobs.

It'll be a real tough game.

Hopefully, we'll win.

Roy historically against Shockey, is often abused...

Front seven must pressure and stop run, otherwise Reeves is screwed.

This secondary isn't shaping out to be very good, they will have a long year if it continues looking like this...

A good definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results. We should go ahead and trade Roy Williams while there's still and expectation of receiving something in return. A few more games will expose that he's symbolism over substance.

I believe Dallas was crazy to extend him, seriously.

I think our secondary has played well for the most part. They are there in coverage and making tackles. We just can't get any pressure to the QB.

Manning has had all day to throw most of the time.

What game did you watch, the secondary couldnt cover anyone. Every pass the Giants completed was to a wide open WR.

Roy Williams is the worse cover safety in the NFL, bar none. That last TD to Burress was a complete joke, he just stood there flat footed and like a clueless puppy as Burress ran to the back of the end zone for an easy score. It also looked like he was suppose to be in deep coverage on the first TD to Burress and he was definately suppose to run up and help Reeves underneath on his second one.

How many times did they get any YAC? Rarely ever and if it was it wasn't for a lot. Our problems on D were more because the front 7 wasn't involved in the game for the most part. Roy makes that play if he's 6-2 or 6-3. But he's 6-0.
