Did anyone see Deion on PTI today? They asked him who he would pick as coach if he was the owner, and he said Rex Ryan! Has Rex ever used the 3-4?

Rex Ryan currently runs a 3-4 defense in Baltimore.

Deion is probably ruining Rex Ryans chances of becoming HC by talking.

I don't think it would matter what he ran.....that defense is stacked. Hell, I bet the Ravens could play 1 man short on defense and still be better then 1/2 the league.

Rex Ryan does NOT run a 3-4 in Baltimore. He runs a 4-3 w/ some plays reminiscent of the old 4-6 system his father used.

Actually he runs a mixture of fronts, which includes a pretty significant amount of 3-4. The 3-4 was very prominent in the playoff game against the Colts. In fact, it was used almost exclusively in that game.

Probably because that's what Peyton has struggled against the most.

BUT, it does show us that he is willing to make adjustments like that. Something our defense hasn't done the last few years.

Didnt they run a 3-4 only 2 years ago or so when they had Hartwell playing ILB.

I didn't watch a lot of their regular season games, but from what I saw the 3-4 was not uncommon.

That he's intelligent enough to design and implement (i.e., teaching less intelligent players) a complicated defense that runs multiple fronts is impressive.

No, he doesn't.

I agree, except for the "Significant amount of 3-4" part. He mainly ran a 46 during the regular season. He ran more 3-4 vs the Colts cuz it was against Manning.
