Deion's new reality show...

I know some can't stand Deion, but he and his wife have a really good show on the Oxygen network.

Basically it's how he and his wife conduct their business and try to raise a family. Standard stuff. But I admit, it's surprising how normal their household is. They don't have a nanny. She handles all the household business. Deion is a character. The episode where his daughter goes on her first date, he met the boy at the door with a bat.

Anyway, it comes on on Tuesday nights, for those who might want to troll it.

When I saw the commercial for it I had no idea his wife was such a knockout. She's a very pretty lady.

They're really cute on the show, too. I DVR'd the episodes...their youngest son (5) was caught kissing a girl during nap time, so Pilar made Deion teach them about birds and bees. His analogy was Jack and Jill. Jack and Jill wasn't going up the hill to get a bucket of water, they were going up there to do other stuff. He told his sons not to be Jack...and don't be chasing after Jill.

Pilar was upset because she thought Deion didn't appreciate what she does around the house. They have no nanny or housekeeper. She maintains that huge house by herself and she was PO'd at Deion cuz she thought he took her for granted, so she brought in all these helpers for a day and gave him the invoices. Turned about to be $1800+ for everything and he apologized. She talked him into letting them keep the chef, so she can eat with the family for a change.

Another funny was the kids were supposed to sell those $1 candy bars around the neighborhood. Deion turned it into a local publicity stunt. Went on air on his local show to get folks to buy them. Called all his local Cowboy friends, and some others in the baseball communtiy to get them to buy a box. His call to Nate was hilarious. It's just a really cute and funny show.

I saw the preview as well and thought it would turn out to be a pretty good show. I like Deon Sanders.

Episode 1 - Pilar's Picks/Deiondra's Big Date

You don't prepare to talk to your kids. Not about the "birds and the bees". Not about anything. They're your kids! It's not an audience that you're not in front of every day. I saw them when they came out of the womb. You don't prepare for that.

And with the "Jack and Jill" reference, I'm just realistic about stuff like that. It's like Santa Claus, man. I can't give Santa credit for my work. I work my butt off every day, I'm going to give credit to Santa as soon as he drops by? Same with the Tooth Fairy. I'm the Tooth Fairy. Ain't nobody slipping up in my kids' room and putting twenties under their pillow! It's me. Humpty Dumpty didn't fall off the wall: he got pushed. I tell real stories, you know? Real. Stories.

Let me be clear: we have three housekeepers, and the one Pilar hired for the day wasn't one of the three. Let's just get that straight. That was a new team that was trying to be implemented, and that didn't go over well. So, that just wasn't going to happen. But, she was getting her point across. She had an elaborate way of getting her point across, but it was well taken. Well stated.

I never was a fan of the Deion Sanders except when he had the ball in his hands. But I've always thought he has another side to him. A more normal side.

my wife has this on yesterday and was rolling laughing.

deion is pretty funny in the few minutes i saw.

he was making fun of his oldest son for trying to color coordinate with this girl when meeting at the mall then about wearing stuff to his buddies before going on a group date. said his son was ruining the family name... hahaha.

I've only seen a few minutes of it, and I came to the same conclusion.

I want to watch more of it and give her a fair chance. I'm a Deion fan and I hope this show doesn't ruin his marriage like it seems to do a lot of others.

I guess it depends on what episode you were watching, cuz I didn't get that feeling at all. What is considered high maintenance, anyway?

This past episode was actually pretty cute. the episode was all about him turning 40. Hair loss, his snap back, in general, a mid-life crisis..

Deion went to get his prostate checked. He was tripping, cuz he didn't want Dr. Long finger doing what he supposed to do. Helarious.. lol

And he asked for a little assistance to help with his snap back as he calls it. The doc prescribes him a little help under the alias "rich black man"

Oh that episode was about her trying to be romantic with him, cuz she said that it had been missing for a little bit. Early in the episode was about her trying to set up the romance, but he ended up accusing her of blowing up the credit cards or he would make a joke of it all. So she got mad and gave up. He made it up to her with a carriage ride around their house.

They replay the last episode generally about an hour after the most recent episode. The 40 episode started off with Pilar giving Deion this elaborate 21 turns 40 birthday party. Of course Emmitt was there. The episode was a mix of Deion dealing with turning 40 and Pilar taking the kids camping. At first she was going to take them camping in the wild. In the end, she took them further out onto their back yard of their property and had some movers and the chef bring elements of hom to their camping site.
