Big news here is Jake Delhomme just got an extension for 20 million of guaranteed money. There are a lot of Panther fans that can't get that playoff pickfest out of their heads. Peppers has them so strapped with him counting 17 million.

It's great for Delhomme, but I think it's a not so good move for the Panthers. IMO, he's past his peak, and I don't think he's the long-term answer for them anymore.

And at one point in time...many people on this board wanted to sign the "next" Delhomme in likes of many QB names, like Shaub for one,who was the other, Zolek?

And now Delhomme has become a bum? At least he got to and almost won a SB. If not for a bad kick off out of bounds by a normally reliable kicker, who knows, he could have been a SB winner.

jake may not be totally done but hes beeen injury prone and less efficient the pass few yrs. there shouldve been no rush to resign him. i think moore if gving the shot could be a really good qb for them
