Not being able to afford Murray because you gave it to Suh would seem like cutting off your nose to spite your face. I think the money is better spent keeping the core of the team together and hoping the extra year of experience and good health put us over the hump to win the SB. Just my 2 cents.

To me the offense finally is fixed. We need to concentrate on defense. I just think they will the same way they did with the offense and sprinkle in some more mid tear FA.

Mid-tier. We already have enough mid tear players. :)

I agree. But it seems to be working, I can't see them changing philosophies. I'm all for a big name or two, but not up to me.
I want Hardy badly.

But of all the answers I see on the replacement for Murray, I see nothing but an old guy, a hurt guy, a rookie that brings an unknown. And in all that, how does it affect a team that scored 29 points per
game?
Murray has a history of injury also. Murray will command big bucks in a low demand market .
There are some rookie backs with high evaluations. Risk on both debates

But out of the two, you have results with Murray and speculation with anyone else.

You have results from Murray last year and injuries before that. Its speculation to insist that he won't get hurt or wear down. Most running backs who carry the ball 370+ have a bad year the next year. There is an article called the curse of 370 that breaks it down. Most teams draft another running back when their running back turns 27 because there typically isn't too many productive years afterwards (Unless you are Emmitt).

The Cowboys haven't exactly made it a secret that they're favorable to seeing to the return of Murray in 2015. The main thing standing in the way of that materializing would be Murray signing a unexpedtedly large contract with another team that grossly over-inflates his perceived value.

Dallas has limitations but they'll improve upon what they originally offered him in all likelihood. Exactly how much remains to be seen. Let there be no doubt, it's a financial consideration just as much as it is a consideration of how much tread DM has left on his tires.

Dallas is sure to take all of those factors into consideration before they decide upon an offer. I'm expecting it to be competitive but not foolishly so.

4 years 32 million to keep Murray. keep this entire offense as it was.don't take a chance on losing Murray. pay this man.

I wouldn't be mad if we just brought back all our own guys and added talent via the draft. You do realize we might have been the best team in their league this year? At the very minimum top four. I've been preaching let's just not get worse.

So what's the Over/Under on how high will Jerry go to keep Murray? I'm gonna say 8 Mill per for 4 years with 17 guaranteed.

Over/Under on how high somebody like Indy or Arizona goes? I'm gonna say 12 Mill per on a 4-5 year deal with 20 guaranteed..

Let the bidding begin..

I'm right there with ya

4/29m 16m guaranteed, 10m signing bonus
2m
4m
5m
8m
