It's tough to blame a guy for 'running to darkness' when it's all darkness. I didn't see a lot of yards left out on that field today.

His lack of vision alarmed me today. I'm starting to agree as well. I'm ready to see Randle myself.

He has no vision, and is slow. We need a real RB.

Also I don't know what you people expect out of him. It was another bad draft choice. He is always hurt and please so not get excited about that Ram game. They had the worst run defensive in football at the time. By no means do I blame this loss on him though. They did not even try to run the ball today. But he is what he is. Another mediocre draft pick by out genius GM.

Running to darkness when it is pitch-black out...Murray was not the problem...the lack of a game plan committing to the run game is the problem...also, I like to see Tony out and on the move but he looked very immobile today...I don't understand it unless he is still hurting from the Giants game and that whack he took...

If the play is called to run through gap 2 then he runs to gap 2 whether it's open or closed. He runs to darkness. On his own he makes nothing happen, the only yards he gains is by a good block by Oline or mistake by defender. Standing tall like he does when he runs even more contributes to him not gaining many yards.

Time to draft TJ Yeldon in the 1st round. More "sexy" skill position draft picks for Jerry...more jersey-sellers

did he put on too much weight or something? he does look alot slower. Defensive lineman were sucking him up on screen passes. He has zero quickness.

He was definitely plodding around out there. Slower to be sure. I think our play callers (Romo?) get frustrated with the running game when it isn't working early and simply abandon it by the time we hit the midway point of the third quarter.

This. We've got to be patient with the run game. It's a process to use JG's terminology. E Smith often didnt do much on carries 1-10 it was 10-20 where the magic happens. Running the ball is a mindset that our coaching staff obviously doesn't have.

It reminds me of Andy Reid during his time in Philly. It's as if we're looking for a reason to justify not running the ball. "Well, it hasn't worked for two quarters. We tried. Time to move." You made a great point calling it a mindset. You're either committed to it, or you're not. And we aren't.

I used to think it was a Garrett thing. But with a different play caller now running things, I tend to agree it might be a Romo thing.

You may be right. Someone in the organization needs to recognize it and take control or we'll be banging our heads over this at seasons end yet again.
