I don't know what people are expecting from Murray when the team is in the shotgun the whole game, there is no fullback, and the collective set of TEs strikes zero fear of busting big plays by any opposing linebackers.... it's about what you would expect.

Murray isn't a great RB, he is adequate on a team that is used to greatness at the position.

Being a RB is too instinctive, so you if think he will change his style at this point, your fooling yourself. What I think we will see is the fact that KC is actually very good against the run, and it will show as the season progresses. This is the real reason for Murray to struggle, as I believe most teams will struggle to run against them.

Murray will get his depending on the matchup, just don't expect him to be great.

Its his third year. Just about time for the fan base to turn on him. Too bad Dunbar fumbled the ball away when he got his chance. The commentator today said that the fact that we have no FB on the roster speaks volume about how much our offensive coaches value the running game. Maybe he was onto something?

Exactly! A few years back when we had the 3 headed monster in Jones,Barber and Choice. They had to split 15 carries a game between the 3 of them. It takes a rb 15-20 carries to warm up! ***!

Yeah Murray's games this year made me remember this article that I read a while back on the Landry Hat. I remember most everyone thought that the writer was way off base with his evaluation of Murray but today it seems to hit the nail on the head.

Do us a favor. NEVER POST AGAIN, or if you do, be a little bit smarter. A RB has to have the chance to get into a rhythm. Our coaches for some reason seems to think if we run the ball once every 20 plays our RB can get in a rhythm. If I was Murray, I'd get go off on the coaches, or demand a trade. He's being wasted. Until we learn to consistently give him a chance to run the ball, he never will. As far as we know, he could be the best back in the league. BUT BECAUSE OUR COACHES WOULD RATHER THROW 3 YARD OUT ROUTES, we will never know!!!

Didn't you guys hear that stat about the Cowboys being 8-0 when Murray gets 20+ carries?

The obvious solution is to give Murray 20 carries, even if it means 20 carries for 40 yards.
