He broke every Cowboy record and was outstanding here and at OU..... he will never get his just due but he is a very good RB
Fans won't give him for the fumble against GB. That was prolly the straw that broke the camels back for the front office.

1. Why didn't he do this the first few years we had him?

2. Why were only Oakland and crazy Chip Kelly interested in him at that price?

1.Oh, you mean like 2011 when ran for ~900 yards at a 5.5 YPC clip despite playing in just 13 games (on just 7 starts)?

2. Feel free to explain the roster considerations, salary cap status, and team needs of all 32 NFL teams and then we can look into your argument from silence (i.e. "Well, if he's so great how come teams x, y and z didn't want him?")

Zeke is significantly better at literally every aspect of the position. The league knows this. Murray is a good, but not great, back.

Dallas offered more than what he was worth.

That's what I thought. Your latest response has absolutely nothing to do with your original claim.

Even though he scored a TD later in the game to put them up by the same margin with less time

The D lost that game when they couldn't stop a gimpy Rodgers in the 4th quarter for 2 TD drives

Elliot maintains lead in rushing yds, but he has 4 fumbles with 3 games to go, Murray has 3 .....ironic?
Also no one mentions Elliot's fumbles hardly ever, like they did with Murray.

With Murray it was fumbles lost and his running style. Having said that, Zeke outting the ball on the ground is not good and is something needs to improve.

Murray wasn't a big fumbler until 2014.

I think people got all into the 'he left meat on that bone' nonsense talk from the media.

Every RB leaves 'meat on that bone' from time to time. And Murray often times made large gains out of really nothing and has a unique power/speed combo

That being said, I think EE is the better runner. He might be hitting a bit of a rookie wall, but hopefully we get the bye in the playoffs and he gets rejuvenated. He's also a better receiver and blocker.

I'm glad we have EE, but I'm also glad for Murray.

The issue with Murray after 2014 is he logged a ton of carries (432 IIRC) and history has shown that once you get above 380 carries in a season it has historically ruined the next season if not careers for RB's. And Murray had a miserable 2015 season. It looks like he's back, but that's a lot of money he wanted for a RB that is in bad company.

Perhaps if Garrett and Co. conserved Murray properly and got him 350 carries then we can pay him the money and not have to have a miserable 2015 season and luck out by getting EE.

That's probably the most important point in all of this.

well yr I let all that go, I just remember people going on about the fumbles and it was before the mob comments.
Murrays fumbles came at some key moments, so were more significant I guess.
but he only had 6 during the season, and EE has 4 currently and no one has said anything.

EE gets nothing but love lol way more than murray did.
I think it is cool that a dallas back and ex dallas back are the #1 and #2 rb most of the season.

I thought EE was going to have a shot at dickerson record of 1800, but it doesnt look like it now.
