DeMarco Rising

I'm still ticked that Jerruh drafted him in the third! :banghead:

Do you realize who we passed up?

Rue is me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait until we get a REAL GM!!! :bang2:

I wish that I could defend that pick, but I can't. Jerry's spin on that selection should be interesting.

:D Yeah. I still love me some Mark Ingram (if that's who you are referring to) but DeMarco has quickly gained a fan here. I guess that's why we're not NFL scouts eh? ;)

Right you are.

I just still can't get over the magnitude of self-righteousness and ineptitude that was on display for all to see in Demarco's draft day thread.

It's quite sad really. There were a LOT of regulars in that thread who made complete ***** of themselves and showed that they really have no clue about the game.

Oh... I don't recall if I was one of those. I don't think so. Normally, I have a pretty good appeciation overall and just like some players better than others. I know I really wanted Ingram so I may have popped off a bit. I don't think I dogged DeMarco though. I'm sure one of my fellow fans will skillfully utilize the search function and point it out if I did. :muttley:

Indeed! I was hoping someone would notice. :p: The oline is slowly coming together. That's the young mobile studs who are becoming more and more of a complete functional unit with every passing week. They're growing together in the trenches and are now excited to have a RB like DeMarco making them look spectacular. It goes both ways.

To reiterate what I said before the season began, strong move by the coaching staff to get rid of the old & busted and go with the brand new hotness on the oline. It may not have looked so hot in week one but the season is a marathon not a sprint. ;)

Huh?

That was a run to the left but DeMarco cut back to the right 3 times because the holes were not the best. I dont know if I would give the O Line the props on this one that you guys are. Demarco does indeed make something big out of nothing.

Please take a few moments to briefly explain to all of us how they've gotten it completly wrong in this thread. Read the OP please and let me know why it's totally off base.

For the record, the "cut back" on that run was setup perfectly. They gave him the lane and he went Soul Train on those fools.

I love Felix and aaaalmost got his jersey, but went with the Dez 88. I was happy to see FJ get the starting job and he would have done well IMO. But anyone who can't see Murray is the total package is blind in both eyes. They are similar in many ways and FJ is good enough to carry his share, but the majority of snaps have to go to Murray. If it works, why change it?

You really should post more often.

The first move off the first plant of his left foot is just jaw dropping good.

Or ankle breaking if you are a LB trying to make that adjustment. :D

Great blocking on that play.

Even Costa made his block. ;)

Why do you have to dog Felix? The guy has been a good solid football player. He never complains about his role always does what he is asked to do and is a very humble person himself who also does a lot of kids in the community. It's the very opposite of the last guy you supported to a fault. I hope when Felix comes back and tears it up to shut people like you who dog him so bad.

I am normally a person who believes that you don't lose your starting role due to injury. I also stated that Felix should get a chance with Fiammetta and Holland plugged into the scenario.

Having said that... Murray is causing me to change my position. If he has another great performance- I don't see how you can not leave him as the starter, and simply ride that pony as someone stated earlier.

Eventually, Felix will get another opportunity- injuries happen and Felix has plenty of value. Hopefully, he has patience as well. There are worse things than being COP guy for a RB who averages nearly 6 yards each time he touches the ball.

Murray is sure earning the role- you can't deny that.

I think it's kind of a reach to assume that Jerry wanted to select OL in the first round, let alone Murray in the third. Can't prove it either way, just food for thought.

There's a stat there sir. Just address it please. It doesn't tell the whole story but it surely doesn't speak to a decrepit set of remains that have been left to provide swiss cheese moment for our viewing pleasure. Seriously. I'm riveted with anticipation of your thoughts regarding that stat.

I just love it. How long are we going to say this? We said it after the Rams game when we all assumed anyone could have put in that performance. Then after he put in for 74 yards against the Eagles, we said he did well but.. but.. but.. So then he goes out and busts 139 on one of the top ranked rushing defenses in the league... & we're still saying it... ZZZ Well... I'm not saying it.

Got glass?

What gets my attention about that play is that the guy Holland was blocking would have made that play if Murray would have gone in the direction the play was called.

Not just good, but great vision by Murray on that play.

The legend of Julius Jones just can't let me drink the cool-aid quite yet. I still don't think people should discount Felix. He looked pretty good when Fiammetta was leading him too. Also, this is BRIAN BALDINGER. Not exactly the voice of reason though that was probably Murray's finest run I have seen.
