Ware is not so great. A pro bowler on a terrible defense is not sayig a lot. I was furious when we passed on Merriman, and now watching him is difficult when we could have a D leader and performer who had 16 sacks despite missing four games. Thanks Jerruh.

It really should be an even 12 sacks, but they took a 1/2 sack from him. With some help from his teammates, Ware would be a monster to the 10th power. As it stands, he is the only pass rusher on the D. It's sad really.

He should have 12, he should have had an extra half sack counted. He seems to have too many first half stretches of greatness and second half sleepers. I cannot believe that the coaches didn't try him on the left side, first against a rookie and then his noname backup. I think he could have a couple more if they did.

I've watched (and remembered) Cowboys games since 1972. This owner is terrible, passing on immense talent for off the field reasons, if I can't point that out, why have a fan board?

Ware is easily the best player on the team. He really has no major weaknesses and while I think Roy and T-New are really good players, they do have their weakpoints. But Ware can play LB or DE, can stop the run, rush the passer, and even cover pretty well. The only weakspot is that he could use some more pass rush moves. I don't think in general it's an issue, but when he lines up as a DE in the nickel, he seems to need a few more pass rush moves in order to truly reach an elite pass rusher level. While we have other issues out there, if we can find another Ware clone in the draft in the first round, I'll take that all day long. He's that damn good.

Agreed, that's why the Cowboys need to draft someone like Woodley from Univ of Michigan, the guy can stop the run pretty good and is a beast when coming after the passer! I would like to see the Cowboys go back to using the 4-3 as their base defense.....
