Actually it is not. I remember Eugene Lockhart racking up tackle after tackle. Or Hambrick racking up tackle after tackle. I am not saying they are in the class of DeMarcus. But looking back on his career...he reminds me of a guy that accumulated stats. Their have been several big moments over the last 5 years...where a big play on defense was the difference between making or not making the playoffs. And he did not make it...nobody on defense made it...and we therefore missed the playoffs. He was never a leader. He made a lot of money. He won nothing. And when faced with taking a paycut and TRYING to finish what he started...he bolted for more money and a "better" situation. So when he is put on the Ring of Honor...I wiil not feel much of anything. This entire era of Cowboys football has been a mirage...which is exactly what Jerry has resorted to since he cannot win. So you can view him as one of the best to ever put on a Cowboys uniform....but my definition of greatness is much different...and their have been PLENTY of players in Dallas Cowboy history..that have set the standard and defined greatness for me.
Actually it is. So much so that I don't even need to try to explain it because it is so obvious.
